Call APR and get it chip, you won't believed the high torque it makes.

APR is good. most people are waiting for GIAC. i couldnt wait.. so got APR, and its brilliant!! [drive]

neuspeed is 50 bux cheaper compared to APR, and according to their dyno, it has higher HP and Tq. but i never trust all this dyno results from any company.

GIAC is out in probably a month. so there you go.. choices choices.. [:)]

more boost, more fuel, advance timing etc.

It is like over-clocking your computer...

APRs makes 241hp and 292TQ on 93 octane.

I may be a pansy, cuz I like all my stuff to be from one manufacturer (kinda theme-ish...), so I'm waiting for Newspeed dealers to start flashing this stuff first, but I called those cats, and found out that their dyno #'s were verified by Garrett (giac). One of their customer's got his car dyno'd by G (who said a stock 2.0T Q dyno'd at 154whp on his dyno) and came up with the 199whp peak. If anyone wanted to make Newspeed look bad, I would think it would be him.....[eek]

I wouldnt be as concerned with 'peak' power.

I think Neuspeed's dyno said 257 hp and 292 tq with 91 octane. Add full exhaust with test pipe and you might be at 270 hp.

I'm feelin that... while every other manufacturer is advertising #'s for 93 & 100 it really doesnt help some of us cali people who are stuck with crappy 91.

So is the Neuspeed chip better than the APR this time around?

I remember for the 1.8T engine's it was a little softer - gave you about 20-25 vs APR and GIAC's 40hp gains.

When are we going to see the K04 and software for these? That should put them pretty close to 250whp I'd think...then FMIC, exhaust...maybe 300whp is not out of the question??? And all that without a BT!!!

300 WHP without a turbo upgrade? I highly doubt it. What is the compression ratio of the 2.0T motors (10:1? I may be wrong)?

That is really high for a turbocharged engine, isn't it? One would think running high boost will be much more risky on such a setup vs the 1.8T motors which have a lower compression ratio.

Are the internals still cast, or is it forged now with the comperssion being so high?

TIA.

A bigger size turbo than the stock K03

you guys seem to forget that the manifold and turbo are one unit . . . something to keep in mind. it's not as easy as just bolting on a new turbo . . . and if you're upgrading the manifold, for the money then go big turbo (much bigger then a K04)
