Anyone ever try any of these products?

Just stumbled across an ad in motortrend for "xado" treatments for mechanical protection such as this product:

Which claims to revitalize a manual gearbox and there are other products like engine oil boosters and such

Just wondering if these are just bullshit or if anyone has tried anything like this before

Typically they are garbage. They try to add in friction modifiers which can actually do more damage than good since companies formulate their blends to meld together and adding an unknown substance can be counter productive.

I'd agree with the above post. If there was a sub $50 fix for a transmission that actually worked you can bet every manufacturer would have their own brand of it out on the market.

I can see it doing more harm than good if you mess with the properties of the fluid or the friction modifier ratios.

Thanks for the opinions, I guess all I was hoping for was a Christmas miracle haha

I'll definitely just save my bucks and keep up with maintenance instead
