So my fuel pump kick the bucket but my tank is full, so my question is what is the easiest way to drain the tank to the needed level to replace the pump ?

Just siphon it out from the fuel pump area. Let me know if you need some help, I'm in Brooklyn too.

You could try pulling a vacuum on the supply side of the fuel pump outlet to siphon out what's in the tank but I've never tried it before.
Give it a try and let me know how it goes for future reference [;)]

I read that it might spill out once the cover comes off ? So if I pull the top cover it's not going to spill ?

I was actually going to purchase a drill pump, so if I used that attach to the supply line I should be able to get the gas out that way right ? technically ?

Makes sense to me.

You may loose a little. But you are going to loose a similar amount pulling the hoses off. It won't go in the car. I was in the same situation. Ended up just syphoning most of it out with a bit of tubing and a jerry can.
