So to remove it you will need:

1x long flathead screw driver
1x hands
1x lots of patience

1. To start there is glue in the joins between the two seperate pieces which are shown here:

First, insert the screw driver tip into the crevice at the top and bottom where the pieces meet and give it a good hit to break the glue all around (dont worry, the glue isnt needed for a good fit)

2. after doing this, you can start by pulling on the L shaped trim from the top, inserting the long screwdriver and prying the clips out of the car body. the location of these clips can http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a610/ljwegener/Mobile%20Uploads/2013-12/IMG_20131210_141729_zpspkdemtx8.jpg (http://s1286.photobucket.com/user/ljwegener/media/Mobile%20Uploads/2013-12/IMG_20131210_141729_zpspkdemtx8.jpg.html)

3. with this piece removed, you can start working on the larger trim piece, again, pulling it back from the top, inserting the screwdriver between the clips and the cars to remove them. the clips can be seen here:
http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a610/ljwegener/Mobile%20Uploads/2013-12/IMG_20131210_141729_zpspkdemtx8.jpg (http://s1286.photobucket.com/user/ljwegener/media/Mobile%20Uploads/2013-12/IMG_20131210_141729_zpspkdemtx8.jpg.html)
There with the clips removed, there is a locating leg towards the end of the panel, simply slide the panel towards yourself and it will come free
This image shows the holes and clip locations

4. you're done! to reinstall, follow the reverse, inserting the locating leg, lining up the clips and giving it a friendly hit till it goes back in and you're done :)

Hope this helps you all! [wrench]
