Exhaust modded on 4.0T S8

Made a small adjustment to the exhaust while I wait another couple months for the Milltek system. I haven't had time to shoot the video yet - but I'll update it hopefully tomorrow with a couple clips.

I usually go a bit overboard on my exhaust systems, and I was committed to keep this car sounding refined. I kept the OEM resonators and center muffler, and replaced the OEM rears with 12" Thermal resonators. I kept the stock tips for now, may dip them black. Very happy with the sound - very "RS" like. Deep and throaty - but super smooth. About a 30-40% increase in volume depending on RPM. Obviously zero drone. Between the crazy sounds from the intake and the tuned exhaust, it's definitely less of a sleeper than stock.

Great idea! Now that you have had the mod for a few months, are you still satisfied and would you recommend it as a permanent solution to the overly muffled S8 ?

Looks like a Milltek exhaust will be available in a few weeks, looking forward to these other options as well. MTM was a little pricey.

I am getting ready to do just about the same mods to my 4.0 A8. I already bought the whole S8 rear bumper and valence, bought Wesdon dual angle cut black tips. I plan on using Vibrant bottle resonators 2.5” in and out. I will be doing photos and sound clips
