Engine Oil Sensor light came on today.

I have read and read other posts with part numbers and such, and I believe at this point I have a case of the MONDAYS...

I seem to understand that the part number has a direct correlation to the VIN. First of all - can anyone confirm or deny this? and secondly based on my VIN, (wauyp64b71n065801) what is the part number for the OEM/Hella sensor that I should actually be ordering...

gap.com has the part number (1J0907660C) listed for the cheapest at this point in time, but when I put that part number in there it cannot confirm that it will fit my exact vehicle...

Any direction would be appreciated...

1J0 907 660 C is the part number for 2003+ vehicles, for your 2000 you want 1J0 907 660 B.

No worries, ETKA will give you the VIN splits if you have access to it. If not the ESC Tunning site is generally pretty good at indicating splits for parts such as this one.
