New member here-just picked up a 2006 A8L recently and loving every mile of it! It had 127k on it when I got it but had been cared for and is very clean-now has 130k. It will be my daily commuter (100 miles/day). First thing I did was take it to Audi and had the timing belt/tensioners/water pump/thermostat done along with an oil change. Took it to Austin for it's first road trip and had an unfortunate encounter with a pothole. Thought I blew a tire but when I pulled over the tire was ok just bent the rim. Took it to get the rim fixed and found 3 other bent rims (aftermarket). One of them was not repairable as it was bent on the center portion of the wheel. So, already a new set of wheels on the car-got a set of Mandrus Manheims for it and looks pretty good. The previous owner had put on 18x8 wheels and I went back to 18x8.5. The car had brand new tires just before I bought it so I was good there.

Really love this car and hope to coax a few miles out of it-hoping to see 200k if it'll hold together without breaking the bank. Noticed the washer reservoir has recently started emptying itself within the last week but seems to correspond to the colder weather. I don't really see fluid pouring out so it must be a slow drip in the bottle somewhere. I'll have to dig into that and see what's going on there. Windshield washers and headlight washers work ok. Haven't figured out how to post a pic yet from my computer but will get one up as soon as I can. If you click my profile, think you can see the car.

Will be leaning on the forum to learn lots about this car and keep it going!
