Alarm not working right

So when I got my car back from the body shop I noticed that when I lock my doors with the remote now, I don't get the one beep to indicate the alarm is armed. However if the car is locked and I jack the car up the alarm does work. So I know the alarm and horn works. Is there something I need to do in order to get the alarm to beep when I lock the doors again?

Take it back, and make them fix it. If they had the rear of the car apart, they could've forgot to plug in the alarm siren.

See thats the issue, the siren works, the alarm does sound, just not when I lock the doors. Which is why I am wondering if something has to be done for that to work.

If you're referring to the std audi alarm, you can code it to beep using VCDS.

If it doesnt beep that means a sensor is probably not making contact. Set the alarm and try to open all the doors while armed. Also try the hood.
