I do a lot of snowboarding in the mtns during the winter. quattro!!!
Soooo, I was gonna pick up a Cupra and install, love the look, but then I remembered how a 3 ft storm I hit up in Tahoe 2 years ago ripped off one of the lower plastic belly pans under the main part of the car----not the engine belly pan mind you.
I dont want to install this thing and then discover it ripped off the bottom of the car. The car is on sport shocks and is stnd height for that factory setting.
Anyone install one of these and have issues with it comin off?

Made it through Colorado and Wyoming winters with no issues.

I am lowered, have one, and just make sure you bolt it on there really well. I have beat the crap out of mine and it is fine. Snow is not an issue, but I was getting slideways around a dirt mountain road the other day, dug it into the ground where the road shoots back up, and scraped it up. It didnt pull of the bumper or anything though.

My recommendation:
Attach the lip with many, weak fasteners. Many fasteners will decrease the load on each and increase your chances of it staying on in a variety of situations. Using weak fasteners will decrease the chance of bumper damage once load/force increaes to the point that the lip is ripped off.

definitely some good advice
I used 33 self tapping screws. I don't recommend using screws if you don't want the lip to be permanent though

I used self tapping screws and it got ripped off last winter. Bolted it back up with nuts and stainless screws so we will see how it holds up this year.

Personally I would probably use nylon screws/nuts through small holes drilled in the bumper/lip.
Just air up for snow clearance

I used 1/4 Bolts with a variety of washers to see what the biggest ones I could fit would be. I did that on six points on the front, then have screws holing it on everywhere else.

Sounds good. Does the Lip come with a DIY instruction set or is there one on AZ? Ill search later.
