If you go into the settings of the MMI you can turn the screen off

Pretty sure holding that button that has the O/I (volume) should turn it off... However as stated above, in the settings menu you can turn the screen off but music and such will continue to play.

ok but if you hold the O/I (volume) for few secs it should turn the screen off right. If i turn it off through settings then i need to press the O/I (volume) switch to turn it on correct?
The reason i ask is today morning when i started the car the screen was showing the logo and i wanted to turn off completely and turn it back on, normally its always on and prefer that way but want to know how to turn it off completely in case i need to restart.

In case you need to restart what? If you're talking about an MMI reboot, there's a three finger salute you can give it, but there's no On/Off for it per say (the MMI always needs to run because it controls other things in the car). To reboot press MENU, central MMI knob and top right softkey.

Not restart by rebooting but just shutting the screen off , my question is how to shut down the screen display
