Hi gents,
the B7 I bought last month has next to some nice gimics as well Bluetooth Phone preparation.
Now I ask myself why I cannot connect my iPhone to it. It always says 'no telephone available'.

Someone can tell me what's wrong here?

Tx

Have you paired your phone with the car? Can you see the car's bluetooth ID when you try to pair a bluetooth device from your phone?

The problem isn't your Audi, it's that POS iPhone you're trying to connect to it. [>_<]

I have no further comments on this subject.

lol

I actually havent tried connecting my iphone 5 work phone, but check the fuse. There is one just for the bluetooth module. I think it's called phone to stereo or something.

you only have 2-3 minutes after the car gets power to connect to the BT module

5 to be exact.

I bought a new phone while I was on a road trip (like three years ago) and I literally pulled over and got the manual out because I couldnt figure out why it couldnt find it. Turned the key off, opened the door, key on, and boom!

this might be a dumb question, but are you SURE that your car has bluetooth?

Do you have the correct bluetooth password?

Try forgetting the device on your iphone and see if the audi comes up again.

I don't think the 5 minute rule is true. I have turned my bluetooth on halfway into road trips and my phone will pair immediately.

Hi 'geebus'
to honest ... I believe so, but I do not know 100%
With the purchase I got the original information sheet for the car which starts with price and VIN and lists below all features of the car as they are standard or specific. Next to it it lists all optional packages bought together with this car, like Sline package, convinience package, ... And there it says 'Bluetooth Phone preparation' (the center armrest has as well the cradle in it to connect for normal cell phones).

"Pairing" refers to what you do when you set up a new device for the first time. That's what the "5 minutes" is in reference to. What you are describing is connecting, which yes, happens any time you turn Bluetooth on and the device has already been paired.

Do you have your owners manuals OP? There is a separate one for the audio system. I suggest you follow that, exactly. You may need to try several times. The older Bluetooth technology (such as that in our B7s) can be quirky.

If you need me to snap a few pics of mine for you, let me know.
