I'm going to replace my motor mounts this week with the new 034Motorsport Street Density mounts and had a couple of questions. I tried searching through a bunch of different threads but I still need some things clarified.....
1.) Do I remove the mounts one side at time or do I remove them both at the same time?
2.) What prevents the engine from moving backwards after unbolting the 2 motor mounts and jacking up the engine?
3.) I've seen some DIY's that say to remove the motor mount brackets and others that say you don't have to, which is the proper way? Do I remove the brackets or do I just unbolt the motor mounts themselves and jack up the engine and slide the new ones in?

Unscrew mounts, lift engine, remove mounts... replace mounts, re-tighten, lower engine.
We did this on a lift so it was much easier, passenger side mount has a tight fit.

Make sure to torque the bolts after letting lowering it if I am not mistaken.

So the procedure is as follows?....
1.) Put car on ramps or jacks
2.) Loosen motor mounts
3.) Jack up engine
4.) Install new motor mounts
5.) Lower car
6.) Snug up the mounts and let car run for a few minutes to let everything settle
7.) Torque everything down

1. Doesn't matter
2. The transmission keeps it from moving back
3. You can keep the brackets in, just remove the snub mount so you can jack the engine up higher.

Come do mine too! I am still waiting for my 034 street mounts to get here. I ordered them near a weekend and it fucked me on shipping time although they shipped it out within hours of me ordering.
Supposed to be here Sat, wish I would of payed the extra 5 bucks to faster shipping lol.

Mission accomplished, mounts are in. They are definitely an improvement over stock as far as holding the engine in place. With the stock mounts you could feel the engine moving around between shifts, with the 034motorsport mounts its held in place. I will say there is a little more vibration than stock, but I figured I'd put a few hundred miles to break them in and then try to readjust as necessary.

Vibration stays. I usually noticed it the most sitting at lights or whatever. It grows on you.
