My car is a 2012, I'm at 45k miles and need to replace my rotors. I was looking into going with ESC Geomet slotted rotors, but after extensive research blanks seem to be the best option. (cracking/noise/longevity)

I came upon two part numbers for stock rotors that apply to my car;

AUDI OEM 4G0615301 for $250.00 / rotor
AUDI 8K0615301M GENUINE OEM at $112 / rotor

I cannot find a difference between the two, wondering if anyone is a parts expert and could shed some light on this?
I know there was a TSB which addressed the brake squeak and increased rotor width by 1mm, but I don't think that would warrant the price difference.

Ask Eurocode? They sold me my replacements for a nice price.

I would look into Stoptech slotted. Very nice, and can be had for around $150-$200 per axle.

I haven't read one thing that clearly illustrated the benefit of slotting. In fact most people who track their cars, prefer blanks. I considered ECS 2 piece rotor, but I might get a new S6 next year, so going stock for now.

Cracking is drilled. Slotted will give a better bite (at least initially), better cooling and they do look better. They do eat at pads a bit more and will be a bit more noisy. Was only trying to save you some money and get a better rotor. Stoptech also offers blanks.

I would also recommend slotted rotors or at least get some with the hub either coated or black to avoid the ugly rusted hubs in the long run.

Not sure what you're reading but "slotting" a rotor is not better. If that were the case most race cars ALSM, F1, Indy would be running them. I appreciate your input.

Not reading anything. I did my rotor due diligence many years ago. Welcome.
