Eurocode Tuning's Überlegenes Stabilisatoren System (ÜSS) for the 2009 and up B8 Chassis A4 and S4. Eurocode's ÜSS is comprised of four key components which work together to mitigate the body roll that is induced by cornering or road irregularities.


ÜSS front stabilizer bar measures in at 32mm and has two adjustment settings allowing full stiffness or a 30% reduction.
ÜSS rear stabilizer bar measures in at 25.5mm and has two adjustment settings allowing full stiffness or a 30% reduction.


Attention to detail is what sets EuroCode's ÜSS sway bars system from other bars on the market.

Replacement one time use of OEM Audi stretch hardware.

The official Audi repair manual calls for all bolts securing the sway bar to be replaced once removed from the vehicle. This is due to the fact that all but 4 of the nuts securing the front and rear bars have a torque spec followed by a 90 degree stretch. They simply cannot and should not be reused.

Eurocode is proud to introduce the ÜSS series adjustable front end links for the B8 Chassis A4/S4/A5/S5/Q5 The ÜSS adjustable front end link is one of the five key components that compromise Eurocode's Überlegenes Stabilisatoren System.

The body of Eurocode's ÜSS front adjustable end link is T7 billet aluminum with a clear type III hard anodize finish, laser engraved with Eurocode's logo and features a threaded body to house threaded heim joints. The heim joints feature both left and right hand threads for ease of adjustability while on the car. Adjustability range is 155mm to 195mm. The ÜSS adjustable end link is compatible with Eurocode's ÜSS front adjustable sway bar, the OEM sway bar and any aftermarket bar that is designed to utilize the factory end links. End-links come as a pair, left and right.

The body of Eurocode's rear endlink is T7 billet aluminum with a clear type III hard anodize finish, laser engraved with Eurocode's logo. Eurocode's rear end link contains a pair of replaceable spherical bearings with Teflon coated bearing races. The ÜSS billet aluminum rear end link is compatible with Eurocode's ÜSS rear adjustable sway bar, the OEM rear sway bar and any aftermarket rear bar that is designed to utilize the factory end links. Eurocode Tuning's Alu Kreuz (pronounced kroitz) drivetrain stabilizer for the B8.5 chassis Audi's to include the A4, S4, A5, S5, Q5 and RS5. The Alu Kreuz replaces the factory multi piece drive train stabilizer with one solid, lightweight structural member to further stiffen the chassis and prevent unwanted suspension deflection. All 6 mounting points are secured to one single plane; the net result is sharper steering with a reduction in chassis flex.

Who would benefit from the addition of the Alu Kreuz? We feel that if you enjoy spirited driving, like to take the on ramps and off ramps of the highway a little quicker than you peers, enjoy a nice drive through the canyons (twisties), the occasional track day or high performance driving class or just want to run your car balls out on the road course, the Alu Kreuz is perfect for you.

During our testing of the 2009-2012 and up B8 chassis cars which are comprised of the Audi A4, S4, A5, S5, and Q5 we found that there was quite a bit of torsional flex coming from the factory subframe/engine carrier. This torsional flex produced what we felt to be incorrect steering sensitivity and response in all aspects of driving. To combat this unwanted characteristic, we did a thorough examination of the front suspension, chassis unibody, and the engine carrier/subframe. Our conclusion was that the OEM hollow steel drivetrain stabilizer under performed.

The team at Eurocode set out to combat this torsional flex and decided to redesign the drivetrain stabilizer. Our first step was to analyze the material that the factory stabilizer was made up of and then create a load case scenario in which to test it under. We sent out a sample for materials testing and found the factory stabilizer to be made up of carbon steel with a density of 0.284 lb/in3, predominately hollow and stamped into shape. The OEM stabilizer is made up of nine separate pieces, and they are all welded together to form one single unit. Once all of this data was collected and loaded, our team set out with the goal of improving chassis rigidity and weight reduction. Our team found that a replacement stabilizer manufactured out of billet aluminum would accomplish our goals, so the next step was the design process.

Our design process went through several revisions, with each version being loaded into computer modeling to test how it would stack up against the inferior OEM product; these revisions were also built and tested not only on the road, but as well as on a closed course with the feedback provided by a professional driver to the design engineers.

The finished product, which we dub “Alu Kreuz”, is incredible. It features a one piece, billet T7 aircraft aluminum construction, type III hard anodized coating, and all necessary provisions to attach the OEM sound deadeners. It requires zero modification to the vehicle, and works perfectly with the OEM power steering cooler. The Alu Kreuz is also nearly two pounds lighter than the OEM brace and greatly improves chassis torsional rigidity. It looks amazing as well.

Independent analysis was performed on the product and the conclusions were that in each of the pre set load case scenarios, the Alu Kreuz deflected less than the OEM stabilizer, carries less stress for a given applied load and the fatigue life of the product is greater than OEM

The team at Eurocode Tuning would like to introduce our Air Intake System featuring our TRUFit technology. Our system includes our TRUFit 6 ply, wire reinforced throttle body inlet hose and our own proprietary double layered cotton-gauze dual cone air filter.

The factory air box on the B8 S5/S5 3.0T is a wonderful product, not only does it draw cold air in from the front of the vehicle, it also provides excellent insulation from the heat that is found in the engine bay. As wonderful as it is, there are a few restrictions that reduce the potential for performance; namely the throttle body inlet hose and the disposable paper filtration system.

To overcome these restrictions, we designed our TRUFIT Air Intake System to replace both the throttle body inlet hose and the paper air filter. Our design team found that the OEM throttle body inlet hose was very restrictive with its accordion like design and integrated sound muffler. We chose to upgrade this hose by building a six ply, smooth interior, wire reinforced silicone hose which is very strong and resistant to collapse even under vacuum levels many times greater than it will ever see. Utilizing our TRUFit technology, the hose fits perfectly between the factory air box and throttle body and even uses the OEM clamps to save you money. With the factory air box being very efficient at drawing in air from outside the engine bay, it also draws in an enormous amount of dust and debris. The OEM paper air filter is extremely restrictive and its performance deteriorates very quietly with miles in service. Our TRUFit Drop-in Air Filter has a dual inverted cone design, cotton-gauze synthetic oil filter with extra deep pleats further increasing the filtration surface area.

Our TRUFit Air Intake System has proven to show as much as a 15HP increase over its OEM counterpart with 12ft/lb of torque.

What size is the ID (inner diameter) of the EuroCode Tuning TestPipe? Our High Flow Cat "HPipe" starts off at the back of the turbo with a 3.5" ID. We have used a 3.5" cat instead of a 3" cat for a greater flow characteristic. After the cat the, it transitions to 3" ID down at the factory downpipe flange. We did this because the OEM gasket between the turbo and cat only has an ID of 3.5", and going any lager wouldn't be of any benefit. This unit will work with all after market as well as OEM exhaust systems that utilize the factory flange and adaptor location. Choose from our Hpipe or Hpipe with new OEM gaskets and installation hardware.

Eurocode Tuning Rotamass 2.0TSI Lightweight Crank Pulley

Goal

Our goal with the Rotamass Lightweight Crank Pulley was to decrease the rotational mass of Volkswagen/Audi’s 2.0TSI engine. Our Rotamass Lightweight Crank Pulley weighs a mere eleven ounces and is over three pounds lighter than the OEM crank pulley. This reduction in weight from the crank shaft is equal to removing nearly 100 pounds of vehicle weight! Throttle response, horsepower and torque are all improved with this affordable and easy to install part.

Engineering

Designed by Eurocode Tuning's in house product development team, our Rotamass Lightweight Crank Pulley was engineered from scratch. The first step was to create a digital 3D model of the factory pulley to ensure that both the gearing for the attachment to the engine's crankshaft as well as the pulley's grooves for the ribbed belt were an exact match. We then calculated the speed of the accessories that the pulley drives and reduced the diameter of the pulley to slightly under drive them, with an output that still is within tolerances. We chose 6061-T6 billet aluminum to machine the pulley and built it to Aerospace standards for precision, quality and accuracy.

Manufacturing

Our Rotamass Lightweight Crank Pulley is manufactured in Southern California to our specifications utilizing United States sourced 6061-T6 billet Aluminum. Special tooling was created to match the grooves to the factory pulley identically and a total of four operations were performed to machine the pulley. The first two operations we performed on an Okuma Cadet CNC Lathe with final two operations being performed on a Hass Automation MINIMILL. The net result is a product that is concentric to .002 of an inch! The pulleys were then tumble de-burred and coated with MIL-A-8625 Type III Hard Anodize Electroplating. Laser engraving finishes the product with our part number, branding and batch number.

Testing

36 months, over 50,000 miles and multiple vehicles have been used to test our Rotamass Lightweight Crank Pulley under multiple seasons and driving conditions. There is a common misconception that the factory crank pulley is a harmonic balancer which is not the case. The Volkswagen/Audi TSI engine's rotating section is fully balanced from the factory prior to the accessory drive pulley being installed. Since our Rotamass Lightweight Crank Pulley is precision balanced by both design and manufacturing, it performs nearly identical to the factory part it replaces. With our test engine, we removed the crankshaft prior to the installation of the pulley, measured the bearings and crankshaft journals. During all of our testing there was absolutely zero signs of abnormal engine wear.

Performance

Numbers always count! The Rotamass Lightweight Crank Pulley provides dyno proven performance gains of up to 9 horsepower. Turbo spool time is greatly decreased and there is increase in acceleration that you can truly feel.

Value

Our goal is to provide the best value for our consumers and design parts that are easy to install by the average Joe. Because the factory part needs a special tool to remove it which is very large and expensive, we decided to build our own that can be included with every purchase. The tool we designed can be used with a standard ½ inch drive breaker bar as to create the leverage necessary to both remove the factory pulley and install our Rotamass Lightweight Crank Pulley. Since most do it yourselfers do not own two ½ drive breaker bars, we also threaded our installation tool with ½ in NPT threads allowing the customer to obtain a 36” piece of black pipe from their local hardware store if they so desire. This attention to detail also has reduced the size of the products packaging to a mere 10” by 5” by 3” and just under 5 pounds which will substantially reduce the shipping costs.

Application

Grabbing a boost signal from the 3.0TFSI, whether it is for a boost gauge, Vent Integrated Digital Interface, data logging, or Hobbs switch activation has proven to be difficult. 306 stainless steel installation hardware (complete)

Plumbing available in Mirror Polished or Powder coated black Both form and function are equally important to the team at Eurocode, because of this; we set out to build the most beautiful and top performing kit on the market. Computer aided design (CAD) and Stereolithography (SLA) was used throughout our modeling process. Computational fluid dynamic (CFD) software provided us with the calculations to develop a cast aluminum endtank that is so efficient, the pressure drop and turbulence are among the most minimal we have seen. This efficiency has proven to reduce air intake temperatures (IATs) bay as much as 35% in repeated full load runs. Reduction of IATs is crucial to performance of turbocharged engines; we have see horsepower recovery in excess of 20WHP with both APR and REVO stage II programming. Temperature recovery of our FMIC is incredible as well, allowing for stable IAT's during multiple full load pulls.
The team at Eurocode found that the tiny 2" cast aluminum turbo outlet flange was a huge restriction to turbo output as well as spool time, because of this; we are including a 2.5" (over 60% larger) CNC machined billet aluminum outlet adapter. This adapter provides a smooth transition to our 2.5" mandrel bent aluminum hard piping. Aesthetical highlights of our FMIC kit are the gorgeous CNC machined, billet aluminum support bracket, which allows the core to be suspended in free air from the factory crash bar. The brace is attached with rubber well nuts that provide both ease of installation and vibration dampening. Our 26" wide core (endtank to endtank) fills if the entire lower portion of the grill.
