ok as many of you know ive always wanted a b5 s4 (username says it haha), but now that i have one its been nothing but issues im ready to jump ship, car will be ready to go this weekend. Have been thinking about selling it and getting another E30 or E36 maybe. The car will be all up to date on maintenance, so next owner would just get to enjoy it but i think im just bad luck and its going to keep breaking on me.

[=(][:(]
2001.5 Imola Yellow S4 6-speed
141k miles im the second owner.
car has a clean title but has two minor accidents on record.
1. to the rear no frame damage just the bumper which was replaced and repainted but has now faded differently than the car and clear is striping.
2. car was run into a curb bending the front control arm on the passenger side.

New in the last 500miles.
-full fcp control arm kit.
-timing belt, water pump, gaskets
-ssac test pipe downpipes and twin one exhaust. (car hasnt been started with the exhaust yet)
-Rear seat was cracked and torn from the sun, so i replaced the head rest and seat with a very good condition one (swapped locks so key still opens them)
-both front axles are new.
-new brake pads and rotors all around
-washer caps are in trunk (silver)
-foglights also in trunk, passenger side is cracked

Id keep the oem rack and bike tray as a spare for the set on my a4.

Opinions.?

when i bought it

I think if you are serious then list at $6.5k and be ready to sell for $6k.

I understand you wanting to move on. Sometimes things don't work out, I've had a couple vehicles that forced me to waive the white flag. Unfortunately you don't know until you know. . . And that realization often comes after the wallet has been emptied a couple of times.

Good luck to you, sir.

Part it maybe?

I really wouldnt want to part it out its in good shape and would be a great car. Like i said its had everything done but with all the issues i keep running into i think something else will go bad. Engine was out Turbos are in GREAT shape no play at all the boost perfect.

first brand new axle exploded due to bad installation the first time, was replaced with a brand new one AGAIN. second time the throw out bearing went out, so motor was pulled to do all seals and replace the throw out bearing. Got it put together had no start so starter and alternator are being replaced...

Sorry to hear you're looking to move away from the Audi scene, but I definitely understand. An E30 or E36 ///M would be fun ride as long as you have the A4 for the winter months. Best of luck with a sale partner, and nice turnaround on the Imola from when you got it! [up]

Thanks^ I had an e30 for a few months but sold it to get the S since it was my DREAM car still is really. I'll still be in the auto scene with my a4 but this s4 is just taking so much more work and time. It spends more time down then it does running.

Ideally I'd love to keep it and have it running great but I feel like that won't happen till every piece on the car is brand new even then it may break down.

Facebook B5 S4 page will tell you its worth at least 10k.

In reality, 6k tops.

I feel your pain, mine is a full stage 3 with 209k miles, and has a total loss payout. Its basically worthless. I drive that thing like I stole it though and she looks new still.

I was thinking the other way ditch the 2.7 and drop a 1.8 in the s4...

Well see how it goes once I get it back.. If it breakes again I'm done

It's a 2.7. It will break again. Just wait until you feel stg3 power and you'll keep it.

Please tell me this car isn't at a shop? They really aren't worth enough at this point to be maintained by a 3rd party. Especially at your mileage.

Lowering a car you're selling.

You know why it keeps breaking? Because its a sedan.

IF i dont sell it and decide to keep it, it will go into a garage and stay there till i graduate and can afford to do everything new one time.
Ive had it about 9 months its moved maybe 1k miles total in that time.haha im down to go to meets i still have my a4. haha
