I have a lead on some gently used 8-pot (brembo) RS6 calipers and rotors. Anybody have an idea if they will work on the B8.

Unfortunately the brackets on the RS6 calipers have the wrong bolt spacing and won't work on the B8 or B8.5 models. The rotors would go on, but the overall offset may not work either. This system is very similar to the RS4/5 setup.

I thought the RS5 BBK is a direct bolt on to the B8 or B8.5?

The RS4/5 front brake kit is bolt-on for the B8.5. This system uses the same base caliper and same size/style rotor as the RS6 C5 system you are looking at, that's the similarity.

However the RS6 C5 caliper comes with a bracket that will not work on a B8 or B8.5. Also the RS6 C5 rotor may or may not have the proper offset for these models, not sure. Either way you cannot fit the RS6 C5 system onto a B8 or B8.5 model bolt-on. You would need custom brackets made up.
