Hello Everyone,

First off apologies for being a newbie on this forum but i have recently encountered an issue and had to replace my head unit. I searched the forum before posting and was just looking for a little more help on my specific questions. I purchased the below and want to make sure i have everything needed for steering wheel control. There are so many different devices out there i could really use some help on what i need. I was told by a shop that i need an SWI - cable and a SWI jack for steering wheel control but found SWI RC that claims to be the same as the two i previously mentioned? I have also read about Connects 2 CTSAD003 but again am very confused as to what i really need. I just want to make sure im getting everything needed in order for everything to work properly. Thanks in advance for any help.

Go to Enfigcarstereo.com, they will have everything that you need. For steering wheel controls you likely need the Enfig SWCL-PIO (connects to the Pioneer) and the Enfig SRWH-AUD3-B. The SRWK-AUD3-B plugs directly into your existing harness, and then into the Pioneer making it a VERY easy install. Steering wheel controls are also very easy to set up with the 2 wiring harness from Enfig, literally plug the small harness into the flat looking rectangular box on the main harness, and then into the back of the Pioneer.

I would also pick up this Enfig RMK8-A4B67, while it is more expensive than the Metra install, trust me when I say it will match your dash much better and look a whole lot better than the Metra kit. It's also very sturdy and easy to use.

Call them on 201 490 5015 and ask to speak to Christian, let him know that Ian from Audizine sent you, more than likely he will give you a good deal. FYI I don't work for them, but have had great service.

Used to have a 2006 like you with an AVIC D3. I second this post. Get Connects2 gear. I have it in my current A3 with a Z120BT. Works flawlessly. Christian is the man!
