dipstick for 2013

ok, i called my dealer to see about getting a dipstick for my 2013. Parts guy looks it up and says he can't find one that spec'd for this engine. so what did other 2013 guys get? do you have part #s by chance?

i looked up on genuineaudiparts.com on the 2012s (since 2013 still don't show up on there) and i found this:

if you look at the parts diagram it looks like it's the right part (#7 in the pic below), so my question is, is there any difference between the 12s and 13s that would make this not work? At <$15 shipped, it's a good deal, but would prefer to not waste my time if it won't work.

I just bought one from ECS tuning. It's OEM, but who really cares...

Europa Parts doesn't show it as being any different for 2013s. The Audi part number is 06E115611H.

I believe it was originally from the A6 3.2, which is a very similar engine.

#7 is what you need. It's the same engine man... this same dipstick will work in any other car that has this same exact engine in it. It's all the same.

I think there must be something wrong with your dipstick if you are using it that infrequently

ended up getting the ECS one. a lot shorter than i expected! but it works great and is very easily readable, unlike the one on my B6 3.0 which was ridiculously stupidly designed and impossible to read.

Yes,as a person that services a lot of 3.0's that dipstick design is the stupidest ever.
