So, in the past month, my exhaust note has gone from a normal 2.8L sound, to sounding like I swapped in a Borla, to sounding like Godzilla is under the hood.

What the heck is going on?

My guess would be flex pipe.

Better question. Will this kill me or my car?

Honestly, it sounds great, but my concern is will it blow up my car?

It's one or both flex pipes going. It will probably get even louder. I actually enjoyed it a little. Initially sounded like an older 911, but then just obnoxiously loud.

Is it louder at the front or rear of the car? Will give an idea of where the leak is at.

In all niceness. Why is this even a question? If your exhaust is loud, getting louder, or making any type of noise other than normal...You have an exhaust leak - or in your case, a hemorrhage.

Spot on diagnosis with the flex pipes. Both of them are ripped. Getting them replaced and the resonator deleted. The sound was cool while it lasted.

But, on a numbers note, it's $400 ($135 per f. pipe) at for the whole operation.

$400? [headbang]

You can get it done with a cheap flex pipe in a good muffler shop for around $100.

Where are you taking your car? I want to call them and yell at them for stealing.
