Here's everything I know...
First the plastic coolant flange on the back of the block has a crack in it. I put some sealant on it until the new part arrives, it seemed to be working fine though. The O2 sensor, knock sensor, and secondary air injection codes have been on forever. I've replaced both o2 sensors and knock sensors... but installed a test pipe at the same time, so they have stayed on.

A few days ago my car would occasionally crank but not start. I would let it sit for awhile and try again. It would usually start up then. Last night I went to start and it just made a spinning noise, like the starter was not spinning anything. Stopped, tried again, it made that sound for a second and then started up. This morning I went outside to start my car and it will not start. It turns over and sounds fine.

Now the trouble shooting I have done thus far. I've checked both of the relays in the ECU box and both seem to be working fine. I've checked the fuses in the fuse box, and they are all fine. I've checked all the spark plugs and changed the coil pack on cylinder 2 with another that I know is good. I have cleared the codes but these ones keep coming back:

17925 - Power Supply Relay for ECU (J271 or J363)
P1517 - 35-00 - Electrical Malfunction
18010 - Power Supply Terminal 30
P1602 - 35-10 - Voltage too Low - Intermittent
17841 - Secondary Air Pump Relay (J299)
P1433 - 35-00 - Open Circuit
17931 - Crash Signal from Airbag Controller: Implausible Signal
P1523 - 35-00 - - Intermittent

Anyone have any ideas? I'm running out of what to check..

Here's what happens when I try to start it.

Anybody have any ideas?

Most important question: Do you have spark?

What's the best way to check?

Someday I'm making a youtube video that shows how to check for spark on a 1.8T. It seems like I have to explain this at least once a week. This guy does a pretty good job, other than not actually demostrating what it looks like when it jumps:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZceAZgZBn9E

Pop a screwdriver in the end of the coil pack, just like he does with the plug wire. Crank the key and watch the magic happen...or not happen, as the case may be.

Someday I'm making a youtube video that shows how to check for spark on a 1.8T.

I think that's a great idea. Maybe it could be made into a sticky.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot in the morning.

If it doesn't have spark do you think it would be related to one of these two codes?
17925 - Power Supply Relay for ECU (J271 or J363)
P1517 - 35-00 - Electrical Malfunction
18010 - Power Supply Terminal 30
P1602 - 35-10 - Voltage too Low - Intermittent

If there is no spark I'd lean towards the ECM relay being the culprit.

My car had similar problems for months. Intermittent starting, randomly dying.

These issues can be incredibly frustrating.

Relay failure is plausible, but I thought that if the relay didn't close you wouldn't get a CEL with key on. Maybe that's not accurate, though. In any case, if you have spark, the relay is good. If you don't, there a couple other easy and free tests to do before we buy any parts.

Possible fuel pump fault?
I was getting similar symptoms, but the car did start on the second try always.
But once I cleaned the fuel pump strainer, its seemed fined.

So, I finally got around to trying to trying to see if there is any spark. When I tried there was no arcing. So no spark. Is there a good way to troubleshoot to find the culprit?

Check to see why the coil pack isn't firing:

A- check for 12v+ to the coil packs on pin #1 with key in the ON position.
B- check for ground on pins #2 and #4
C - check for 5V square wave trigger on pin #3 during cranking. Check with LED-type test light only, or oscilloscope.

Once you find out what you are missing, chase it up the chain to find out why. Most likely case is lack of 12V+ to pin #1 on each coil pack due to blown fuse #29 or Power Supply Relay not closing (not necessarily a bad relay).

So I took the car to a shop. They told me the engine was seized and that it would need to be replaced. Based on the video above is that even possible?

The engine has compression in your video. It's not seized.

Unless after that video you cranked it until christmas and it didn't make oil pressure. That can sometimes turn a "no-start" into a junk engine.
