Hey guys, I just recently picked up a CPO 2010 S4 (meteor gray pearl, s-tronic, sports diff) and have had a great time browsing this forum over the past couple of weeks. I hope to contribute more here in the future.
I was hoping you could help me with something strange that I noticed on my car. In the lower front air dam, I noticed that there is an actual vent next to the right fog lamp, but not around the left fog lamp. Here is a picture, where you can kind of see what I'm talking about. It just seems odd that one side would have a vent and the other would not. Can someone with a 2010 S4 please confirm for me that this is normal?
Sorry guys, I'm a bit paranoid because I just got the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yep, it's normal. Look inside that vent and you'll see a heat exchanger in there. Keep the leaves out of that hole in the fall, they like to gather in there.

Normal. Congrats!
hey Leor and Swank, thanks so much for confirming. I really appreciate it. And thank you for the welcome and the tip. So far I'm loving this thing. Just came from an 08 Acura TL Type-S, which was a fine automobile as well, but this thing is on another level. [drool]
The heat exchangers/intercoolers/radiators are pretty exposed and susceptible to damage from road debris. Recommend you consider doing this:

here's mine:

its a long thread with several different approaches to protecting them, but well worth your time to install.
Enjoy!

Haha! I noticed this probably about 6 months after getting my car, specifically after I got my pulley installed.. I was like WTF did Eurocode forget to put on the cover on the other side?!?!
I totally flipped out... Then I googled Audi S4 and looked closely and was greatly relieved hahah.
