View Full Version : Suspension: Bilstein + H&R

I just recently picked up a set of Bilstein shocks and H&R springs. I wasn't planning on buying them, but the price was unbelievably cheap. So, that being said, I am wondering if I will have any issues with rubbing or fitment before I attempt installing them?

They will be going on a 2001 A4 B5 1.8T. My current tire/wheel combo is:

R8 replica wheels (I believe the offset is ET35 but I can confirm this later this evening)
Tire size is 235/40/18

Has anyone else run a similar setup and potentially have a picture to reference? Will I need spacers (and if so, what mm)? Is it necessary to roll the fenders or modify the wheel liner?

Springs don't go low enough to roll fenders, rub the tires, or have fitment issues.

It'll give you a nice drop, but you'll still have anywhere from a 1-2 finger gap the whole way around.

I'm on h&r race springs and had to pull my rear quarters a bit do to rubbing on dips. I'm on 17x8 et15 in the rear

Thanks for the replies. I should also note that the H&R springs are the Race version.
