Hi all, I'm new to this forum and hope to be able to learn a lot and maybe help pass on some knowledge as well. I think I'm some AC compressor pulley whine but I'm not 100% and was thinking I could run a bypass belt to see if it shuts up or not before I go and drop a large chunk of money on a compressor if that's not the problem. Does anyone know of what belt length I would need or if it is even possible to bypass the AC compressor on the B5 A4? Oh and the engine code is AEB if that makes a difference with this or not.

Thanks

Did you even give it a cursory glance yet? The A/C belt is completely independent on the 1.8T. You can safely remove and run without it if you wish.

I honestly haven't had a chance to look at it. I was actually thinking that would be the case but wasn't sure. Thanks for the response, it is greatly appreciated.
