Any one know if its possible to rent a roof rack? I tried searching but not having much luck. I'm a bit hesitant on spending $300-400 on a product that honestly I may use once a year at most.

Thx

What do you need the rack for? Just the cross bars or will you be attaching something (Thule, snowboard carrier, bike carrier , etc....)

Better off finding a deal in the classifieds

I will be using a cargo box. I've kept my eyes peeled on both Craigslist and Ebay, and the classifieds of the major audi sites but they're still pretty much in the retail range of prices. I'm just a bit sour as I bought a kit last year for a car that Sandy destroyed and I never did get to use it and now the components are incompatible with the new car requiring an additional purchase.

what kind of rack on the Sandy car? yakima and thule should have some pretty easy fixes to change your setup, or ask these guys about a custom setup:

Thanks for the info. I actually went out yesterday and bought a Thule setup from EMS. They're having a great 20% off sale. I ended up just reusing the square bars from the old setup that I had previously as one of the employees (pretty helpful actually) let me know there wouldn't be much benefit for me going with an areo setup as I'll be using it with a roof box and then it comes off of the car right away.

Thx

Just went back to thule's website - turns out the sale ended on Tuesday but I was able to still get the discount.
