if its on a crease of the body you wont be able to get it popped out from a dent guy
from the pics its hardly noticeable. if you get it repaired at a body shop the chance of the paint being off or not blended properly will look much worse than a ding

In the second pic it almost looks like they punched a hole clear through the skin but I'm guessing (hoping) that's just the look of the dark primer underneath.

ugh, i seriously hate people that just fling their door open into other cars. Now im going to have to take my 2 month old car to a body shop and spend who knows how much because some asshole couldn't be bothered to be careful with other peoples property.

yeah its just the primer underneath, i knew a door ding was inevitable but of course it has to be on the crease and take a chunk of paint out too so its going to pain in the ass to fix

its pretty noticeable when the car is clean, you can see the crease from the dent when you look at the car from almost any angle.

I need to start checking my body more often too. People are idiots. Especially women when they open doors and the fact you have expensive car means nothing. Hell, they're probably glad it has a scratch or ding. At my job I'm going to park far away even if it means the extra walk through the parking lot. Repairs and painting seem to be annoying and you lose that fresh new feeling when you drive a car with some damage to it. Hope it gets fixed for you.

As has been said before, "When you park next to others, you risk accidental damage. When you park away from others, you risk intentional damage."
Sorry this happened to you. I'd take it to a body shop.

I swear that crease is nothing but trouble. it seems like 90% of bad dings on peoples' cars are right on it, and it's the hardest part to repair. They should do away with that somehow on the next redesign. Good luck with the ding man.

PDR is definitely worth a shot, i've seen some pretty amazing results on here and in person when you get a guy that has talent. worst case is that he charges you $60-70 and can't get it out. best case is he gets it out and you dab the chip with touch-up paint. if PDR isn't successful, then spot repair may be a possibility w/o painting the door and blending adjacent panels.

Man that sucks. I wish they had other cameras on the car that could record this type of shit. It's bs.

I think they can pop that out from behind. Good dent guys would take their time with that and get it out even if it's on the crease. Go to your dealership and see who they use and have a go at it... will cost you $100 and might as well start with that.
I would not pay to have bodywork done - it will cost 1k and be much more surgery than needed...

Agree on trying the PDR. My guy really surprised me when he removed a dented crease on my B6 that I had earmarked for the body shop.
Grrrr. Sucky place to get it. Looks tuff but a PDF guy might be successful (I'd be hopeful but sceptical). Just have to find out. Touch up after that should be straight forward. That pisses me off. Feel for you...

That sucks dude, have a similiar dent on rear driver door on upper crease courtesy of Atlantic Audi of West Islip when I bought the car(new).PDR will get it close but not perfect since that's a bitchy spot.I wouldn't bother with body shop for that. After PDR just touch it up and try not to look at it-works for me.....

On a business trip recently with a co-worker. She, somewhat overweight (won't mention ethnicity since it likely doesn't matter... but being slightly racist It crossed my mind several times)... Wearing a skirt that didn't fit right obviously... She dented doors of 3 different vehicles when trying to exist our rental during different stops... One of which I was able to jump out and block the door preventing most of the damage.
While none of the cars involved were my own, I was furious. Almost ruined the whole trip for me. I spent many hours contemplating how to deal with it. Starting with ideas on how to sabotage her experience at work, finding a way to get her fired (or worse).
I'm perfectly capable of ignoring things about people which bother me as long as they don't affect others around them... But when you damage vehicles around you because your fat, lazy, overweight, and all around a stupid c*nt... It's time you have bad things happen to you until you DIE! ;)

Buy Meguiar's ScratchX. I'm not kidding, it got all of my scratches out and made the paint like new. My side panel was also scratched, and is now perfect! It's magic in a bottle.

I'm convinced that in general, it's more of a gender thing than anything else. I'm pretty certain I've convinced every woman I've been out with that I'm a total gentleman in that I'll open the car doors. In reality, it's only so they don't hit the car next to us.

Try this.
