Explain warranty. People say you don't back it up.

They do back it up,
you should call and talk to them and hear it first hand. They are easy to get ahold of and are easy to deal with. Say you have just a flash,
anything that happens to your ECU or a problem that would arise from the TUNE - StaIiS will cover it. Otherwise Audi will cover the rest of your car (as it is still under complete factory warranty)
If you have further questions and have trouble getting ahold of someone please let me know and I will have my StaSIS rep contact you directly.
Chris.

Stasis has been dropped by 3 dealerships in my area.
Not approved in DC area but they do send the bill to stasis if anything happens from the tune.
Question: does the flash include b8 2012?

this is probably not the place to bring up the typical stasis debate... but i am impressed to see a Stasis post after many many months.

The place where I had my Statis tune done a couple years ago does not work with Stasis anymore. I wish I could just have my tune upgraded from the original. :-(

I had mine done in Florida but I have moved to AZ and the dealerships have dropped Stasis. I am in the same boat as you.

Contrary to some post in this thread so far, we have seen a very limited number of dealers making decisions to suspend their offerings for STaSIS Signature Series products. Their decisions are not because the STaSIS products are problematic. Keep in mind that Audi dealers are independently owned franchises, if a dealer doesn't want to offer a product or service they once did its entirely their own decision or in some cases a mutual agreement to terminate agreements between companies if performance isn't being met by both sides.
In the event you are not near a STaSIS Authorized dealer we do have other alternatives to obtain our products and services.
For direct questions & inquiries regarding warranty, dealers etc.. we invite every client to contact us directly via PM, email or phone.
Our warranty policy can be viewed here on the STaSIS website anytime- http://www.stasisengineering.com/support/warranty-and-compliance

Just found out that both dealers near me(same company) are STaSIS dealers.
Here's the page
STaSIS is committed to delivering high-quality products that meet federal LEV, ULEV, and ARB Section 27156 standards. Our products are built for CARB certification in all 50 states, and we comply with applicable NHTSA title 49 and FMVSS crash protection standards.
We stand behind what we build. All STaSIS products have a lifetime guarantee from manufacturer's defect when installed by a STaSIS-certified dealer or independent performance center in a single car with a single owner. In addition, STaSIS products purchased and installed by a certified STaSIS dealer are covered for labor and consequential damage by a 4-year/50,000-mile warranty that runs concurrently with the standard factory warranty. This is the only factory-level warranty in the Volkswagen Group aftermarket.
SIGNATURE SERIES WARRANTY
Our Signature Series warranty covers STaSIS products and related damage as follows:
Products must be purchased and installed through an authorized STaSIS dealership in the US or Canada
Coverage is for 4 years or 50,000 miles from the original in-service date
STaSIS Signature Series warranty matches the original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM’s) warranty for both parts and labor, and for exclusions and limitations (e.g., wear and tear on certain parts)
WORKING WITH AUDI
Our relationship with Audi is based on a very important principle: to take care of the customer. STaSIS works closely with Audi to provide a seamless, positive customer experience.
Vehicles modified with STaSIS Signature Series products are clearly flagged in the Audi warranty system to enable faster diagnostics and better customer service. STaSIS customers can have their vehicles serviced and repaired under warranty at any Audi dealership across North America. This is unique to STaSIS.
“Through proper communication, we expect that under no circumstance will a customer be delayed or denied repair
in situations involving STaSIS and Audi products when repair is appropriate.”
– Mark del Rosso, Chief Operating Officer and Peter Donnellan, Director After Sales, Audi of America, October 5, 2011
For the fastest, most hassle-free warranty service, STaSIS recommends working with a STaSIS-certified dealer.
MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS
Some STaSIS products, including but not limited to suspensions, brakes and turbo chargers, require that you adhere to the recommended maintenance schedule to retain warranty coverage. Normal "wear" items—including but not limited to brake pads, discs, tires, suspension bushings, damper fluids and seals—are not covered by this warranty.
MAKING A SIGNATURE SERIES WARRANTY CLAIM
To make a warranty claim, STaSIS recommends returning to the STaSIS-certified dealer you purchased the product from or using another STaSIS-certified dealer, as they will be familiar with the process. However, STaSIS will work with any Audi dealer to process a claim.
Sounds like this is good incentive, but how does it stack up to other tunes?

You can take a look at the performance graph http://www.stasisengineering.com/sites/default/files/images/dynos/datareduction-SS-S4.jpg . We are seeing gains of 84HP and 43lb-ft with the flash alone.

The published gains we use are based at the crank.
STāSIS conducts testing with an all-wheel dynamometer produced by Dynapack. The Dynapack system has proven to be highly repeatable. One reason for this is because it measures power at the vehicles hub and not at the tire as do roller based dynamometers.
If you would like to read up more on how we conduct our dynamometer testing we invite you to visit this link to our white paper on our website here- http://www.stasisengineering.com/sites/default/files/whitepapers/Dyno%20Test%20Process%20Whitepaper-V1.pdf
This will explain in detail or testing & data reduction methods.

Good to see this posting and people's questioned answered. After two tunes from Stasis, I've had no issues, performance is measurable and accurate based on their clames, no issues from my authorized dealer, even when I turned my previous B8 in. Lots of history on the forums re: which tune is better, warranty, etc, for those who want to search and read more. Thanks for even offering a "warranty" where other competitors may fall short.
figured i'd chime in here i dont have an S4 just A4, the dealership which i got my flash and exhaust don't even want to talk about stasis. So i had to move to another province and when i brought my car in there hoping since they are stasis cert there shouldn't be any issues. Nope they don't even want to touch it, also when i brought my car i they told me i have no more stasis warranty on the car because i have an APR intake on.... Also have been waiting for an answer on my stasis exhaust for over a month and a half. The way i get treated at audi and no help from stasis, I've already replaced my exhaust and am waiting on another tune so i can get all stasis out of my car. I'll never go back to them as long as i live. Do your research with your dealership "which I did at the time, and things have just gotten worse and worse", So believe what you want.

My local Stasis performance center (Schaumburg Audi, for those interested) worked well with Stasis to get my ECM reflashed after a small issue. Perfect service, no complaints.

You need to spell out what your issue is for your post to be in anyway useful. Did you have an issue with something stasis did? Did you have a warranty claim denied which stasis refused to cover?
You have been waiting for any answer on your exhaust -- what is the question to be answered?

This real issue here is the interpretation of the repair/work needed at the time. Audi states that any problems they deem to be as a result of the tune they will not cover and Stasis states that any work that they deem to be required as a result of their tune they will cover. What if Audi says its a problem resulting from the tune and Stasis says its not, who's the referee ? 2 warranties and the owner could still be out of pocket.
The result is tuning is a "pay to play" scenario and if you aren't prepared for the possibility of out of pocket repairs stay stock.

This issue has been identified countless times. In my mind, even if there are times when Audi and Stasis fight over Audi's tendency to over-deny, there is still potentially a lot of benefit to the Stasis warranty if many or most times Stasis warranty takes care of things that with other tunes wouldn't be taken care of. For example, if 1/4 warranty claims are lost in a fight between Audi and Stasis, the other 3/4 claims which get covered in spite of TD1 may make Stasis well worth it (unless the 3/4 are only the cheapest claims).
I am interested in anecdotes, not rehashing of the potential issue. So if WAF or others have specific instances of coverage/non-coverage to share I would be happy to hear them. In fairness to Stasis, who is trying to sell a product and is taking a unique and big risk by offering the warranty, perhaps a new thread would be a better place than this thread - which is meant to inform of the event.

Not paying attention---I had stasis done in Florida and have since moved to Arizona where the Audi dealerships in my area have dropped stasis or vice versa. That's a long way to go for option #1. Hopefully I will never have any issues.
P.S. I like my stasis goodies, don't get me wrong, but had I known at the time I decided for a tune about the future relationship between the dealerships and stasis, I may have gone another route.

WAF,
We're sorry to hear of the complications you have had at the dealers you have visited. I would like to extend my contact information over to you to review the exact problems you are experiencing with the Stasis exhaust & the dealers in question.
Since this Forum Post was meant to share an event we feel it would be appropriate to discuss these type of situations / conversations via PM, Email or over the phone so we can better serve you & get down to the specifics of your situation.

I spoke with a service advisor today at a dealership that no longer sells Stasis. He said that they dropped Stasis because when people had issues, Stasis would not honor the warranty. He spoke of an instance of a blown transmission with both Stasis and Audi refusing to take responsibility, so the dealership ate the cost. He also said it was good that I went with different coilovers because they have had issues with the Stasis coilovers.

I'm curious, how does the original B8 stasis tune compare to the newer tune since they teamed up with Revo? Any numbers comparing the old and new tune?

Re how Stasis does the data analysis from the dyno run ---
My stock 2011 B8S4 was 4-wheel dyno'd and showed 306 HP at the wheels. This implies well over 333 HP at the crank (the factory spec). Stasis publishes numbers that are normalized back to the factory speck crank power (333 HP). I would rather see their numbers for power at the hub (what they actually measure) before and after the ECU mod. Is that data available anywhere?
