I've gone back and forth with debadging for a long time and still haven't made my mind up. I think debadged definitely looks clean but on the other hand I love the accent of the black emblem, and I also like people knowing its a 335i and not something else. Despite having that badge i've still had more people than you would think ask if it were an M3

hahahaha, I never thought of it that way [up] We just do it because we feel it adds to the aggressive look of the car. I know its not for everyone though.

Yup, i have driven his 335i many times, luckily for me it drove fine all the time except for once. Anytime you tried to accelerate it would just misfire and shut down.

People who know BMW should be able to determine from the exhaust, right? Mine is a 328i which obviously has the one-side exhaust but I debadged for the clean look.

That S4 has a perfect stance, estoril is beautiful, you thinking about blacking out the grey bar in the grill? I can't believe how much better the e90 looks than the F30, I wouldn't mistake it for an M3 w/o the hood bulge or quad exhaust but that looks really aggressive. I'm not a fan of the blacked out badge when running silver wheels (love the wheels though), but then again, I'm not a fan of black on metallic grey - not enough contrast IMO.

Yea I agree but i've had numerous people say things along the line of "wow that's a sick M3" even with the 335i badge on it. Maybe i'll debadge it one day but for some reason everytime I come close to debadging, I wind up deciding not to

I can see why badges used to be nice on BMW's since they gave you the engine displacement, now it's kind of arbitrary, will the new LCI F30 be a 340i?

Random question, but did you have any problems putting on your coilovers with xdrive? I've read that the CV joint on the front axle isn't designed to work well with lowered suspension...so even a F30 335ix M-sport just has the same suspension as a base 328i.

Thanks! In my opinion, estoril is one of the nicest colors on the S4. I also plan on doing spacers soon to get the perfect stance. Still have to determine what sizes to get though.

Nope as far as I know they'll still have 335i, 320i, 328i, etc... I had no issues but then again i'm running KW V1's meant for the xi. You can't put the rwd V1's on xi's and vice versa.

turbo lag on the 335i is non existant, hit the gas and go, i would say the power bands are very similar stock

So you're the kid I randomly see putzing around town! Throw some wheels on that thing, it looks great already but some wheels would really set it off. [up]

I bumped into the 335 the other day, being a measly Stage 2 doesn't make my car much fun for a pull [:|]

Thats what my friends say, however I like the OEM look, so i opted to get the OEM 19inch peelers. For some reason I love the look on this car which is why I dont want to get new wheels. Maybe down the road if these wheels get curbed at all, ill consider a set of wheels like HRE or Vossen. Whenever you see me around town, feel free to stop me! [up]

It's a good look, and definitely do your own thing! Some 5-10mm spacers would really make it look great with the stock wheels, rather than having them tucked under the car.

I saw you parked in Milbrook the other day, I'm a member there so I'm in and out often/randomly. If I see you, I'll stop you. Cya around!

Nice! Me and my buddy play golf there alot. He has the nogaro blue b6 s4 that was parked next to me so im sure you saw that as well. And I plan on ordering spacers actually, I am just so indecizive on which sizes i should order, keeping in mind that i prefer to not rub. I was thinking 15 in the rear and 10 up front. Thoughts?

I'd say maybe 7 up front and 12-15 in the rear. I say 7 for the front becuase you don't want rubbing, and it appears from your photos a 10 would probably cause some rubbage. The rear's can definitely go much wider as they are tucked a lot more and don't have that nasty lip inside (as the fronts do). Some food for thought! It would be super helpful if you measured the distance from the top edge of the tyre to where the fender edge is, just to get an idea of how recessed the wheels actually are. Then you can start thinking about spacers sizes while not getting something that will be too large that it causes rubbing or too small so it makes no visual difference at all.

I'm running 13mm in the front and 8mm in the rear. Then again, my chassis is different as well as my wheel and offsets. Feel free to shoot me a pm if you'd rather keep the thread clutter free.

I do plan on raising the front a little bit which is why I thought 10 would be ok, once the 10mm spacer is in, i would want to raise the car so it sits flush over the tire, meaning you can actually see the whole tire LOL.

tell psmitty to not use that as an excuse when he loses in a pull. And there is definitely some turbo lag, at least in psmitty's there is.

Really? No lag over here, I can post up those vids I sent you if you want? I think your misunderstanding what turbo lag is. As I said go for a ride in Ben's STi and have him floor it at 3k rpm and you'll see what turbo lag is. In a 335i it builds boost pretty much instantly. Also not once did I blame lag on losing a pull. Did I blame me being in 3rd gear vs another car being in 2nd, of course that is a valid argument.

IMO, the only cars that compete with the S4 and 335 are each other. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, in that class comes close- TL SHAWD, C350, CTS 3.6, G37, etc. Maybe the Ecoboost Lincoln? LOL

I like the location. i work in a marina and I'm always thinking what a great place it would be to do a shoot and on sundays when most of the yard is closed I always park in front of the travel lifts next to my co-worker's 2001 540i. I'll get a pic next time, its eerily similar in taste haha
