Hey to everyone @ Audizine!

Im Dino and about 3 months ago I purchased a 2000 Audi A4 1.8T. So far my mods are: FMI,Neuspeed chip,Unorthodox pulley kit, Neuspeed intake, Forge Diverter valve, 3" race downpipe, 3" single pipe custom exaust with a Magnaflow muffler.
I have been reading that some of you have a 2.8 tranny on your 1.8T audis and I was wanting to know whats the difference in the 2. Are the gears different and how hard is it to do the swap?
Also, I want to know if the leather seats in the A4's are worth taking out and replacing with racing seats due to weight drop.

Thanx everyone

If you search out the tranny topic it was discussed in length a few times by members who have the swap. As far as the seats go, to have any real weight loss, it'd be better to search elsewhere. Racing seats wouldn't be a bad idea.

thanx evil audi,

my future plans are black/white racing seats and a bigger turbo, I have a t03/t04E from my other car that im thinking of putting on the audi. I know I would have to get injectors, manifold and software. Since I already have a manual, do you think it will take much to put in the 2.8 tranny??? or should it be pritty much a direct bolt on swap?

from what i have read the 2.8 is a direct swap.

yes but the tranny itself isnt cheap and the install isnt easy.

well i have a 95 Audi CS AWD with a manual tranny and its a 2.8 and if that works i would probably do that.
