Finally started my own thread for my new B8.5 S4 that I picked up about a month ago.

As you can see by my ID, I've been a long time lurker here at AZ. I initially joined back when I had an '02 A6 and then proceeded to own 3 BMW's (two 5 series and an X3). After continued aggravation of owning used cars, I decided to lease a new car. It was time for a change and IMO the 335 doesn't compare to the S4 on looks/interior/feel/etc. Nagaro blue B5 S4 was my dream car back in the day so this has been a long time coming.

I ended up leasing a 2013 Phantom Black S4 with Black/Silver Nappa leather, carbon inlays, DSG, Sport diff, 19" peelers, Nav, B&O, etc etc.

I will use this thread as a build thread, mainly for myself since it won't be anything groundbreaking to you guys [:o]

I installed AWE S-Flo intake the other day which I am happy with and was pleasantly surprised that the change felt noticeable in throttle response. The SC sound isn't quite as loud as I had hoped but wanted to stay AWE since I hope to go AWE exhaust in the future and AWE is 20 mins from my hometown. Other small stuff is I have tinted the reverse lights on the tails and cutout some tint for the amber corners (not sure if it'll stay but ecodes won't be for a while). 20% tint on the front/rear windows and 35% on the rear windshield is scheduled for next Thursday.

As for future mods, I've bought a set of 5mm and 8mm spacers and will be buying OE springs soon. I want to go AWE exhaust with res DP's in the somewhat near future. I will hold off on Stage 2 GIAC til after my warranty is up.
As for springs/exhaust/intake, has anyone run into issues with their dealership? I know a good relationship is important first, but I just want to make sure before I buy exhaust, that I'm not going to run into a hassle. Obviously if the part or something directly related to the mod wouldn't be covered, but has anyone had any further issues? Manual TD1? I may swap intakes before going in for 5k service; has anyone been manually marked TD1 just for intake? The car is a lease but it seems likely I'll buy it out at the end of the 39 months anyway.

Lets get to the pics, I apologize for quality they come from my iPhone. I also tried to downsize them to help.

Beautiful and congratulations! Its a great feeling finally getting what you've been lusting for a long time. You made the right choice, so tap yourself on the back sir.

AWE exhaust with res downpipes is amazing and IMO the way to go. I got one on my car and absolutely loved it and have and will continue to recommend to others. You won't be disappointed in the least. Here is a mediocre video of how the exhaust sounds in a short tunnel in second gear (6MT).

Congrats again and time to start enjoying and having a smile on your face!
