Hello!

This is the car I bought in April 2004, an Audi S3 1.8T 2000:
http://img281.imageshack.us/img281/110/dsc00987small5vh.jpg

At that moment;
- I already lowered her -8,5 in the front and -9,5 in the back
- I cleaned all the audi and S3-signs in the back
- Put on the RS4 rims in 19''
- I repainted the parts that needed some new paint
- And I gave the motor some extra juice by reprogramming the computer chip; result: 250 BHP and 400 nM torque...

These are pics from how she was just a month ago...:
http://img280.imageshack.us/img280/5484/dsc01682small0aw.jpg
(I added Mov'it brakes and 19'' Sportec rims)
http://img280.imageshack.us/img280/9055/dsc01707small2rj.jpg
(I cleaned up the front, added facelift lights and added some *bling bling* mirrors)
http://img280.imageshack.us/img280/3189/dsc01784small0zo.jpg
(I also cleaned up the back and added an Eisemann exhaust)
http://img280.imageshack.us/img280/8043/dsc01505small3vi.jpg
(I added a Pioneer DVD HU, sportec pedals and a Helix RS6 audio compo set)
http://img280.imageshack.us/img280/6453/dsc01587small1ft.jpg
(in the trunk I installed a Helix Woofer (600 watt rms), one Heix A1 and a Helix A4 with some chrome finishers)

This is a pic I took today:
http://img119.imageshack.us/img119/8475/dsc02093small7bi.jpg
(I installed my new xenons in the facelift lights and added a custom bra)

And now for a little update:
-----------------------------
The sportec rims have been sold to a friend of mine just a few days ago...
These are my new rims:
http://img165.echo.cx/img165/7837/lemans0iz.jpg
(BBS Le Mans in 18'')
This should be the result next Monday:
http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/8677/bbs17small1ou.jpg
(when I finish the polishing [rolleyes] )
And a litte spypic of the 1st ring I finished up some days ago;
http://img159.echo.cx/img159/6771/sneakpreviewlemanssmall1ij.jpg

So hopefully next Thuesday/Wednesday I will be presenting you my Audi S3 on the new rims and a bit more lowered to the ground... [:p]

Very nice....... I love your S3.

IMO, you should leave the CF BBS center caps on the rims rather than the polished ones. Either way, it looks great!

i say ditch the leather bra (those things screw up paint) for a clear-bra, definitely do NOT chrome/polish your LMs. oh what a mistake that would be.

otherwise, so very hot! awesome look.

Tanks guys for all the nice comments...

Belgium likes you all very much!

But could you guys show me a pic of a clear bra??? Don't have a clue what you mean...

To answer your questions/remarks;
° I like the new look with the custom bra very much. And now that my S3 isn't a daily ride any more, I don't think it will mess up my piant very fast; now she only leaves the garage on Sundays to participate in a meet. Or just to cruise a little bit and to enjoy all the horses this engine contains...

@Idrivemyself: the centercaps are NOT going to be polished. I found me some carbon fibre caps who will fit the car very wel! ;-)

@pdxa4; I think that's quite a lot, you are willing to pay for an S3 of 2000... Here in Belgium there's one golden rule; if you want a good Audi; go to Germany and import one! I found mine in Berlin, April 2004. Full option, 60 000 kilometers and a manual with all the parts that had been changed for 20 000 Euro's... Now you can find a good S3 in Germany for even 17-18 000 euro's! My next car (an Audi RS4) also will be imported from Germany...

@Tinman; sorry man... already three out of four rims are polished... And if you ask me... They're looking great!

Time for an update:
----------------------------
° Normally in 2 hours I'm expecting a phone call from my wheels dealer. Because those BBS LM's originally were made for a BMW, they don't fit an Audi... So my wheels dealer had to order some adaptors in Austria to fit the 5*120 on to the 5*100 of my S3... But I've been waiting more than 3 weeks now and tomorrow my wheels dealer is leaving on vacation... So hopefully all 4 adaptors got to Belgium in time, otherwise I'll have to wait until the 3rd of August before I can fit my new rims... :-( Germans and Austrians... The only thing they're good at is making cars... :-)[:)] [:)]

Oh...

I forgot to tell you about the plans for next winter;

Winter 2006:
------------------
° Finish the 'cleaning' of the outside of the car
° Paint the plastic covers of the egine in the same colour as the car and chrome / polish some of the carparts.
° A complete repainting of the car in the original colour so that all the little flaws are gone.
° All the parts that are typical for an S3 (black part in the rear bumper), front upper and lower grill, side skirts) will be painted in Audi S3 black.
° And in the interior + over the audio equipment some more leather will be added.

Winter 2007:
-------------------
Motor upgrade stage 3 from Sportec; +350 bhp and +500 nM of torque...

Now she runs from 0 to 100 kilometers (0 tot 60 miles) in 5.7 seconds. With 250+ bhp and 400 nm of torque.

Greetzzzzzzzzzz,

Jay

Thats my rule too, however it wouldnt be right for pdxa4 because he's in ireland which means rhd, so unless he wants to put up with the everyday hastle of having a lhd drive car in the uk(and believe me I've had it and its a pita!!!)...

I normally dont loose too much on my cars cos I buy them cheaper in germany, mod it and sell it for nearly the same price I bought it for a year and a half down the road...

we love german car prices...

I'll get you a shot of my clearbra if you'll show your seats. Fold em for us. Do you think they'd fit a sportback?
Is that a color matched fuba? Audi Coupes [=(][hail]

Interesting that an S-model would only have a 1.8L motor. What are the stock specs for this car?

Jeronimo
07-15-2005, 08:51 AM
@ Kombi; I'll get you a pic of my seats the moment I get my computer back... Now I'm using my girlfriend computer 'cause mine crashed...

@A4-oh snap; In europe you can get this S3 with an 1.8T engine in 210 or 225 bhp.
Mine is a 210 with 320 nM of torque. But now that she has been reprogrammed; 250 bhp and 400 nM of torque.

Update:
------------

°I twisted a muscle while polishing my rims... So I wasn't able to finish them before Tuesday... This means that I have to wait till the 4th of August to put my rims on my S... Cause my wheels dealer left on holiday...

It just isn't fair... [:(] [mad] we don't get this car in the US. I want an S3, better yet an RS3. [;)]

<VAG whining> "Oh, but it's too similar to the R32" (yeah, and the A4 is too similar to the Jetta/Passat ) "and it will hurt VW sales... No one will buy a 2 door Audi like this in the US... you have the TT...." blah blah blah. Can you tell I'm not pleased. [;)]

With the Sportec Stage 3 your S3 will be a rocket (like the RS3). Have fun, I wish I had one. Looks like the only way any A3 series two door will make it to NA is by importing it myself.

Another major factor that you guys are forgetting is that in Ireland we have to pay an additional tax called VRT on all cars.

England is the best place for us to pick a car up, it's a huge market with well maintained cars. However once we purchase there and present the car at our Irish border then we must pay VRT on the car. It add 30% to the price.

While I was testing my car on 1/4mile sprints last week, I noticed that my clutch (hope this is the correct word for the part that we call 'koppeling' in Dutch [rolleyes] ) needed to be changed...[mad]

So I ordered a reinforced sports clutch for and Audi S3 that could handle up to 500 bhp... Now I'm safe for a couple of years and that's something I won't have to change when the big motor-works start in 2007.[:D] TOmorrow I'm going to put it on the Audi.[wrench]

Now I'm counting off the days till next Thursday... 4th of August... My adaptors for the LM wheels finally arrived and my BBS wheels are completely polished! But I still don't have my computer back... [:(] otherwise I would have shown you some pics of the bling bling wheels...

But If everything goes well; in just one week, my car will be shown to you guys in her final 2005 look.

had some troubles in the week-end...

Wanted to put my reinforced clutch and pressure group onto the S3, but I wasn't able to reach the rear part of my gearbox... [headbang] So I made a call with the chief-engineer of an Audi garage here in Brussels.... He explained to me that it was impossible to take off the gearbox of an S3 without taking the engine block out of the car... [mad] So yesterdag and today I've been working on my car with the engine out of my baby... [=(]

Now, at this moment, the engine is back in the S3, the reinforced Porsche clutch and pressure group are installed and the gearbox is back in his place... [:o]

Tomorrow, I'm gonna [wrench] the rest back in place and then on Wednesday its time for a testdrive... [:D] [drive]

And THursday evening... The LM's go on my S and this project will take a sleep till December (I hope...[:o] )

@ Phat A3; normally I'm also a 19'' guy. But when I drove the 19'' Sportec rims, I felt that I lost a lot of horsepower/torque in comparison to my 17'' original rims... So therefor I bought 18'' BBS Le Mans. Hopefully the loss won't be to much now... [rolleyes]

@Pete; you speak Dutch? How come? Super! Iemand die mijn taaltje hier verstaat! [;)]

ClearBra (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=60960) but unless you have a lot of bugs and rocks in the road you don't need it.
