I found the kit at ECS, for over $100, I'm just in need of a new base and not an entire kit. I thought Ebay would have a volume to have my head spinning in choices.....haven't found a single one.

Also, where are the antenna booster in a sedan located (not the Avant)?

Sounds like somebodys weird paint choices are causing reception issues.

*just sayin*

[rolleyes] My weird paint choices were done 5 years ago, my reception issue's been a week.

I'm just kidding with ya.

Sorry I don't know where the amplifier is. I did find a cheaper avant antenna base. There are 2 versions I think. One is through 99.5 and the other 2000+. ECS shows the older one. The 2000+ one is just a little bit cheaper:

And one from the C5 A6 is even cheaper:

People still listen to the radio?

Was not aware.

Thanks for the links. I'll place metal shavings in my paint choices to boost reception in the future.

Yeah, for the Avant it's cosmetic, for the sedan I can not source a full interface Ipod 5v to Pioneer cable.....some ones gonna get it back in China. The current interface cables are at the wrong "oclock" to plug in & lack just about all user functions. Radio it is as tossed the older 12v interface system. Errrrrrr...

Alright, you're right. Just downloaded Pandora. Shall I 3.5mm out the headphone jack of the phone to the aux, or can a use the serial port with adapter cord, to go from serial port to aux? Hopefully that'd charge phone too while transmitting data yes/no?

Back on the antenna base front, I found this guy:

Thanks for the link, I had found those here:

However they informed me is the connectors are different, however my primary need is cosmetic as the old one is shot, I'd like to at least be able to plug it in. Thanks again!

Plugging stuff in is so overrated. Everything is wireless now.

I went with the Blitzsafe V.1B (I think?) for exactly this reason. Nothing through the headphone jack. Just plugs into the bottom, plays audio through speakers (via radio) and charges at the same time. I have to say. The volume/quality that comes out is descent. The only exception to this is pandora, quality is still good but the volume is not very high. Windows down on the highway makes it difficult to hear (volume cranked.) Windows up and it's manageable. If I listen to spotify it's a little better. Music stored on my phone is just as loud as a cd or radio. I'm wondering if it doesn't have something to do with the applications.
