While starting the car yesterday after work the EPC light came on and it stays on constantly. The car drives OK and there is nothing strange felt or heard. This morning I went to a shop to check for errors and the below was present:
P0299 Boost pressure control below control limit
P3193 Intake-manifold/in-cylinder flow flap Stop outside valid range
P0601 Control Unit Component defective
We tried clearing the error but the second one P3193 comes back on straight away and can not be deleted. I did some search that refers to Intake Flap Motor (possible replacement). However I'm not sure why the other 2 errors were there as well.
The engine code is BGB and the car is stock standard 2.0T FSI.
Also how dangerous is to drive the car like this for a while?

There is a recall on the Intake Flap Motor. Take it to Audi.

Maybe not in South Africa.

The car has always been serviced at Audi dealer by the previous owner. When I bought it, I asked the service department is there is any outstanding recalls but they just told me, if it's been here all the recalls are done already without even checking the computer. I have a full printout of everything done on the car since new but there is no mention of IFM replacement. May be I should just double check at another dealer.
Anyway, can you please tell me, if I'm getting:
P3193 Intake-manifold/in-cylinder flow flap Stop outside valid range
does that mean definite IFM replacement or it could be something else?
Are the other errors also caused by this or there might be something else as well?

I am sure with some Google searching/ audizine searching of that code should find you your answer.
Example: Google: P3193 audizine or something like that
The recall could of been made after you bought the car. I bought my A4 on 07, and I think the recall came out a couple years later. Call an Audi dealer and give them your VIN.

Its pretty recent so yours should be covered.

I'll double check on the recall again but I bought this car about 3 months ago and Audi said - "no outstanding recalls", without even checking on the computer. The previous owner took it to Audi and told them to fix anything which could be wrong before giving it me. They did the service and replaced the front brake disks, rotors, new brake fluid and control arm bushing.

Went past an Audi dealer again today and this time they entered the VIN in the computer to check for recall campaigns. It only showed recall campaign for the coil packs and that has been done on this car already.
So looks like there is no recall campaign in SA for the IFM for the B7.
And the IFM is quiet expensive here and besides the dealer can only get stock next week.
What do you guys suggest? Is it OK to drive like this for a while or something else might break? Is there ways to repair the IFM or may be re-run the procedure from here (with the current IFM): http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/2.0l_TFSI_%28AXX/BGB/BPJ/BPY/BWA%29#Intake_Manifold_Runner ?

Ordered myself a proper diagnostic cable and should have it sometime next week. Then may be I can try re-adapt the old IFM to the car computer and see if it helps.
On my search I'm getting mixed responses if I can drive with the IFM like this. Some say, there shouldn't be a problem, others say, it could damage the whole engine.
Also I notices from sometime ago, when I start the car in the morning the revs at idle initially stay at about 1200rpm and after a minute or so go down to normal at about 800rpm. Could this related to the IFM?
The first error also point to potential diverter valve problem as well.

Got the VCDS cable and software today and did a quick scan in the office parking and all faults are back. For the first and second one, I'll check boost, DV, IFM, etc. but the third error is worrying:
001537 - Internal Control Module
P0601 - 001 - Memory Check Sum Error

The Ross-Tech Wiki points to a campaign but my engine code is not listed there:
When found in 2.0l TFSI (BPJ, BPY, BWA, BWJ, BYK), check/update Engine Control Module Software Version
Audi A3 (8P), A4 (8E/8H) or Audi A6 (4F):
Rest of World (RoW): Campaign 24H8 (2013846) or TPI 2012760
My engine code is BGB, so if I read correctly it doesn't fall under the software update campaign.
Any ideas?

Try unplugging the battery for half an hour and let the ECU reset. Then reconnect and see if it clears.

Just did that. Cleared all codes, disconnected battery after 40mins touched the terminals to make sure there is no power left and reconnected. Initially all the codes came back. Did 3 scans and after each one cleared the codes. Eventually only:
012691 - Intake Manifold Runner Control
P3193 - 002 - Open Stop outside of Valid Range
Freeze Frame:
Fault Status: 01100010
Fault Priority: 0
Fault Frequency: 1

Voltage: 12.192 V
came back.
Will see if the others are back tomorrow after driving for a while.
However there is another problem now - after disconnecting the battery the ESP light also stays on now besides the EPC. Is this normal after battery disconnect and will it go away on it's own?

The runner out of range has happened to me before when I forgot the retainer clip on the intake flappers, and the connecting rod popped out. Look right under your HPFP and see if the flapper motor is connected, as this code means it is detecting that the position is "out of range" or in other words "off the hook" :)

Hold in the ESP button for like 3-5 seconds and let go. The light should go off.

This morning after I started the car drove for about 30 meters the ESP light disappeared. So looks like you need to drive just a bit after the battery disconnection.
However since I disconnected the battery and drove around 25 km today the old faults are back plus couple of new faults appeared:

Only P0299 hasn't appeared again but last time this fault showed at speed higher than 100km/h and I haven't done any highway driving yet.
Any ideas why new faults would appear after the battery disconnection?

I bit of update on this. The last 2 error appear not to be too important at the moment but the Intake Manifold Runner Control error is worrying. I tried running the adaptation procedure from the Ross-Tech Wiki but it just gives me an error and can not be re-adapted.
The price for this Intake Manifold Runner Control unit here in South Africa is 3 times the price in $ in the US.
Is there anything which can be done to fix the existing unit?
Do you know if the Intake Manifold Runner Control unit is right hand drive and left hand drive specific? If I order online from the US it might be much cheaper despite shipping and taxes.

Can someone please point me to what this intake flap motor actually do?
I tried re-adjusting it according to the Ross-Tech Wiki but the motor refuses the adaptation procedure. Now I've done quiet a bit of driving since these errors appeared for first time and still haven't noticed any real issues with the car. Tried searching for the function of the intake flap motor but finding different opinions.
And also, is the intake flap motor part or the throttle body or a separate part?
