Anybody in the Connecticut area do a carbon clean on a 2.0T? If so where at and how much? Thanks.

I'll be doing a carbon clean on my 2.0 soon. I bought a soda blaster from harbor freight to get em good and clean. Once I do mine, I'll let you know how it goes. Where abouts in CT are you?

Will do. I'm expecting it to be a 6 pack job mainly due to disassembly and reassembly time.

I'm interested in seeing how this works as well, including the item # of the blaster you bought from HF.
Thanks

I also bought a 50lb. Bag of the medium compound soda. I figured I could always use the leftover soda in the pool[:D]
Hmmm that soda blaster looks like a decent investment- I'm sure I could find a few uses for it.
Anyway, OP I think the average price for a carbon clean at a shop is about $5-600.

Damn, that's a good deal. And to think that a few of us locals in Colorado all pitched in together just to buy a boroscope to see if we needed to do the carbon clean. And that was $100. We shoulda just got this instead.
