After I debadged the rear, I went to take a picture for here (I know this is unrelated) but when I was taking the picture, the two lights you see flashed twice. I have never seen this before. Yeah, most likely camera flash reflection. The first flash was to assist the camera in focusing, the second was to actually illuminate the photo to get a decent exposure. The reason you caught it was the angle you were shooting was in the direct line of reflection in the tail lights.
