So I just got the Stasis tune on my 2013 A6 to go along with the Stasis exhaust and wanted to see how it would measure up to an S7. So I had a buddy with his S7 meet me on a nice straight stretch of road to find out. Neither of us thought the end would be this close. An even launch by both of us had him pulling away a bit and it was a blur to 120mph. He said he looked over to see how far back I was and was shocked to be looking over my hood out of his passenger front window. We continued to 132mph with him just about a fender length in front of me.
I was thrilled. Him not so much.
My A6 about $60k + $3500 for the Stasis exhaust and tune
His S7 about $93k

Try it again after his S7 gets a tune :P.
A tuned 3.0T can do great things. There's a 2010 S4 (owner goes by Primetime) that's broken into the 11s with all the go-fast goodies available for the motor. It doesn't surprise me that the a tuned A6 would be close to the S7. A stock S6 will be a tick faster since it weighs slightly less.

You're right, the A6 is a great car. The S6/S7 with the same stuff done on them (exhaust and tune) would be simply amazing. IMHO the S6 is the perfect car. German luxury sedan with supercar performance. It's like a four door R8 :)...... V8 of course.

But at the end of the day, s7 has a growling, thundering v8. Nothing will beat v8 sounds

That's weird because I've seen a stock S6 beat a tuned S4 so I don't know how your car kept up unless your just as fast as a tuned S4.

You'd be surprised how the Stasis exhaust sounds on the 3.0T. It sounds pretty darn close to the awesome sound of a V8. At start up it rumbles like it has two more cylinders and with WOT it sings like it too.
An S4 might get me because of the weight difference. I have another buddy with a Stasis tuned 2013 S4, I'm sure he'll like the same challenge. I'll get him on the same road and report back.

I've owned a 2012 3.0 A6 C7 with a stasis exhaust and it doesn't sound close to a V8 IMO.
If you want raw speed and drive 132 on public streets buy a street bike.
S7 all day long.

It's all relative. Can a tuned A6 come close to hanging with a stock S7? Maybe. Can an aftermarket exhaust make a 3.0T sound better? Sure. Like a 4.0T? Eh.
Throw a tune and an Exhaust on the S7 ;)

A tune and an exhaust and it wouldn't have been much of a race :)

Here is an S6 stock against an S4 with Stage 2 tune, and the S6 wins:

BTW, a tuned S4 has more horsepower and is quicker than a similar tuned A6.

No doubt the S6 is the faster of the two, but if you're going to put up a video it should probably be a better example than a 100 yard dash with one car tapping the brakes because the road is too narrow for two cars. Just sayin.

This video proves nothing and is not entertaining enough to even bother posting. Lame. - But your point is taken nonetheless.
Given the choice of a free S6 or a free A6 Stasis, I'd choose the S6, as would EVERYONE! But as the OP pointed out, the Stasis did very well in their non-official race. He wasn't humiliated and spent significantly less money on his car.

Okay the video was just an example. I realize it is not a Hollywood Blockbuster. With that said this was Fonzie's car and he made other comments on other runs that it was faster. This was just the only video made. The A6 is a great and tuned it is quite a bit better. Nothing wrong with the car and not knocking the OP. I am just struggling with a tune A6, which is putting down about 330awhp and an S7 which puts down about 390awhp being the same performance.

Agreed. If I, in my A6, were able to keep within a few car lengths of an S6 I would be very happy. Actually, I need to go ahead and get the tune before I even consider something like that.
