Spent a few hours at the track today, only to get a CEL light halfway through the day. On the way home the car started to sound like a Civic with a fart can. Ran the codes and got one of these: 01212 - Belt Tensioner Igniter: Rear Passenger Side (N197) which can't possibly be related to the fart cannon sound, can it? I cleared it and it didn't come back so I don't know if it's anything to worry about, but still not sure what to do about the exhaust. Where would I begin with something like that? Seems to be coming from the front of the car rather than the rear. Have the car up on axle stands right now but just waiting for it to cool before I go crawling around in there.

Sounds like possibly your Cat took a dump. When that happens, it sometimes clogs the exhaust and makes you have like 5hp, and sometimes just blows out the rear.
Or, one of the bolts that holds on the cat back to the cat broke and you have a pretty good sized leak/separation.

I was thinking it might be the cat but wouldn't that start throwing fault codes? I ran it for a good 200kms home after clearing the fault codes and finishing at the track, and no fault codes. After the CEL, I did go back to the stock mode on the APR chip. I'll flip it back and see if there's any power loss. I was thinking maybe the flex pipe too? I can't really get a good look on the stands and of course it started to rain as soon as the car went up, so I might take it over to a buddy's shop with a real lift and see if we can spot anything.

Sounds like an exhaust leak. My guess would be flex pipe, but it's hard to say.

exhaust leak, check your flex pipe first, then check your cat bolts.

hot on the track potentially melting the cat?
sounds like an exhaust leak, i would think you are correct in your assumption that the CEL is unrelated.

sounds like when my midpipe broke off of my downpipe, brought me back to my "custom accord coupe" days.

Just came back from the shop, it was the flex pipe after all. $300 is the quote.. 2.5 hrs labor, $100 for the parts.

i had a mom & pop type muffler shop weld in a piece of hard piping until i could save up for a full exhaust, cost me $30 and 2 cigarettes (literally), took all of 15 minutes. just my experience, not sure where exactly your leak is and the extent of it
