anybody have a DIY on how to do the water pump replacement? Ive got the timing belt in and stuff all taken apart, so Im gonna do it.

theres a tech on audiworld that includes it. I did it with my timing belt and it wasn't a big deal. Also do the thermastat while your in there.

Remove bolts for water pump, remove old water pump... That can be a bitch, replace water pump with new water pump seal, torque down water pump bolts... Yer done...

For me, the biggest pain was getting the pulley off the front of the water pump. You should be good to go if you already have everything taken apart. Good luck with it!

you can do it without removing the center pulley, you just need a set of crow's feet.

I'm not talking about the center pulley, I'm talking about the pulley on the water pump. I had a hard time getting enough leverage on the bolts to get it off of the pump shaft flange so I could put it on the new pump.

Make sure you use an OEM style gasket! It's the type with an integrated metal frame. I found out the hard way that the simple rubber ones suck.
