Hey guys I'm finally home from afghan and have been wrenching on the b7 a4 I bought over there. Having some trouble, anybody with a ecs tuning snub mount have trouble getting it back in? Of course it should be very snug but this thing won't go in it seems like it needs to be shaved down.

Thanks guys

Sounds like you might of put the snub on backwards. Try taking it off and turning it around.

I have an 034 snub mount that I need to put on. I was told by my shop to use lithium grease to put it on.

Tried it already I can see how somebody could make that mistake though

I know I put mine on backwords at first then I flipped it but I had to basically put all my weight on it to get it to push all the way in.

also I had to remove the mounting point on the cooling module and then mount them together.

I oiled mine up attached the rear bolt and hammered it in with a rubber mallet. Dont see any other way to get that in without a mallet

Time to break out the mallet, grab another beer and do it like that^

Loosen the retaining bracket on the lock carrier. Put snub in. Tighten bolts on snub bracket. Center retaining bracket on lock carrier. Torque bolts down.

It's that easy. If its not, you're doing it wrong.

If the retaining bracket can't be adjusted down enough for the snub to fit freely when mounted on the engine, your engine mounts are sagging too much and are likely shot.

I finished it , went in easy once I oiled it and put the back screw in first, also put on my hpfpuprgrade cam follower and change the oil. Good day over all
Thanks gentlemen
