I looking to get some coilovers installed on my 09 A4. First quote I got was $1000 for just the labor. After some searching around on the forum this now seems pretty damn expensive. Anyone know of any other reputable shops around Denver that will get this done at a more reasonable price?

Who did you call?

Try Berg or Bluewater.

If it were a B6/B7 I'd be all for it (as I know how to do it).

Did the labor include an alignment?

I called 3zero3 first, and they were including 4 wheel alignment.

Try the other 2 for sure. I know Aaron and Jeff do real good work at Berg.

3zero3 is pretty steeply priced; not sure it's worth the money (they tend to be more than the dealership).

Which coils are they?

Way too much for that job. Have you talked to Avalon or Autosport Werks? You could even do PES even though I havent had the best experience with them.

Going with ST's. They seem to be pretty darn affordable.

Something like an ST (ie, only adjustable height) definitely shouldn't cost $1k to install.

I figured. Thanks for the additional shop suggestions.

Worse case, drive up to the Vail area and I'm sure I could have Bill help me bang it out. I don't think B8 suspension is that much different to the B6/7.

Berg for sure, i got mine installed there for like....maybe $600 total. that's with alignment and height adjustment. i called 3zero3 first as well and i just hung up when the guy said $1k. lolz...

edit: i had already installed the front coilovers myself at this point so that knocked a little bit off the labor.

The rear is easier than the front.

OP, where are you located?

i have love for 3z3, but they quoted me the same for my coils. $1000 is stupid. if you're around 38th/sheridan area stop by G&G auto (across the street from 24hr fitness) and talk to Jeremy. they do great work for indy shop prices

I'll be looking to get mine installed in the next few weeks, would rather give money to a member that may actually need it than to a shop that does not. DM me and we can get in touch! Thanks in advance

You guys can always feel free to hit me up... I own ABS Motorsports. Our rates are really competitive. The only thing we can't do is the alignment. I highly recommend Autosport Werks for alignments though. Curtis is the new owner over there and he is awesome to deal with. He REALLY knows his Audi's!!!
