2012 S4 has B&O with MMI. One thing I really do not like is the sub, like many owners. I know others have replaced the stock free air sub and gotten some improvement. Others have added an amp to the free air sub and had to add 150lbs of sound deadening matterial because the deck would flex. Others have just pulled it and stuck a box or custom side enclosure. So here is my thought.
1) Pull the stock sub leave opening in rear deck.
2) Install a small amp pulling signal from the stock sub leads.
3) Make a small fiberglass box for a 10in sub, only need .5 cuft and bolt it under the rear deck to fire up through the stock subwoofer hole.
This would keep trunk space and improve sound.
Pass or Fail? and why?
Thanks all.
