So replacing my oil pan tomarrow
(lowered+ mountain road = massive oil leak)
Any way which is the easier route lowering the sub
Frame or lifting the engine to replace the pan?
And what silicone should be used will the heavy duty
gasket stuff work?

058 uses a gasket and the 06A I would suggest the actual Victor Reinz sealant specified for this application. You can use something like RVT, but the Victor Reinz is what I used and would recommend. It truly stays pliable and hardens to like a rubber state.

As for how to go about it, it is up to you. But fair warning that it is a total PIA. And the only reason it is is because of the damn subframe.

Sorry to hear about that leak. As for the oil pan job, look for a DIY, that's where you will find what you are looking for. Have you thought about a metal belly pan? Or even a steel oil pan? I feel like this could happen again.
