My salesperson called today; my S6 is out of production and loaded on a ship, which set sail a few hours ago. As long as there's no hang-ups in customs, I should have my car the week of 5/13. That's only 12 weeks from my order date of 2/16 for an Audi Exclusive color! Pretty amazing; I know some of you guys waited 7-8 months for standard colors earlier this year.

Post some pics when it comes in. I would be interested in seeing what Sepang looks like on your car. I went with Audi Exclusive as well. Estoril Blue on my A6. Waited 6 months so you are lucky. Best decision I could have made though.

I know, three months for Exclusive is nearly unheard of from what I can tell. I waited longer for my (standard color) S4. I'll post pics as soon as it comes in.

Uh oh...

I knew the name of the ship my car is on (Cougar Ace) sounded familiar, and thought it was the same one that my BMW had come over on. Turns out that wasn't the case; I remembered the ship name for a very different reason:

TL;DR version: Cougar Ace listed while adjusting the ballast tanks at sea a few years ago, and all 5000 Mazdas on board had to be scrapped. Plus, a guy died while trying to salvage the ship after it listed.

Does this portend bad luck for my S6 ownership?

The next question I have is does the Sepang Blue have the same issue as the Estoril Blue in regards to the easily scratched?

Turns out my saleswoman had the ship wrong; it wasn't the Cougar Ace it was the Prominent Ace. Should be in port Tuesday, so I'm guessing next week for delivery. But as soon as it comes in, I'll post pics.

Car is at the port going through inspection. I'm HOPING they can get it shipped up this week (my dealer is only 100 miles or so from the port), but the official date from Audi date is next week.

Got word today, car is at the dealer. Going to complete the paperwork tomorrow night; it likely won't be prepped by then but I can at least snap a few pics. Picking it up officially on Saturday.
