G'day, I'm after some definitive answers on a set of rims.

I have a 2003 A6 with the 4.2 V8, I've found a set of genuine Audi A8/S8 20" x 9" offset 46mm.
I'd like to fit these without any spacers and really don't know if they will fit or not.
Suspension is factory Audi Sport, but will be replaced with ST Coil overs in the next few months.
Would like to go a little lower than it is now.

Please help me wheel Gurus!

Cheers,
Dan.

Check the wheel forum,

Guys are using much much smaller rims, and need fender rolling and spacers, especially true of your going to lower the vehicle.

A8/S8 are simply larger vehicles.

Especially on a wide body (4.2) I would want a spacer for that.. 46mm offset is quite sucked under. I have a narrow body and run 18x9.5 et33. Tire size would be the deciding factor. I don't know much about 20s on 4.2's though..

Being in Australia means that it is illegal to run spacers, that and I'm not really into the whole tyre poke thing that you guys are, I think it looks great, but the risk of getting taken off the road by the police is far to great and costly.
So if the wheels fit all tucked in under the guards, alls well and good. If not ill probably have to give them a miss.
I did see someone running 20"a in the wheel thread but am unsure of his offsets.

Thanks for the help so far.

OUCH! Austrailia seems rough on just about everything that Americans hold close. Guns, cars, I'm not sure what else.

I like a little tire poke, it just looks right on these cars.

I'd say, weld the spacer on (half joke, I'm sure it would be very difficult to balance the welds), say it's original equipment.

Good luck getting your setup just right.
