After is was all said and done what was the final cost of your swap? Would you do it again?

This just came up and I want it. Just don't know if I'd spend more money doing coilovers, paint matching, 17zs, etc or manual swapping.
Help me out!
I know Brian has the swaps and his prices and DIY guys in the garage but I'm looking for the final end cost wether you had a shop do it or what flywheel you went with etc.
Thanks Ron

I bought mine direct from Audis4parts.com. Paid 2,4xx all said and done with shipping. After oil and and axle rebuild it was around 2,600. Vast stage 2 clutch was... 500ish? With whatever flywheel they used. I don't really remember. If I were to do it again I would go with the JHM solid shifter and delrin bushing.
You could do it much cheaper if you pieced it together.

I'm about to undergo a 6 Speed swap in my allroad, I have an a6 donor car complete & running to take apart. Can not wait to get started.
I can't justify paying for a car that has a perfectly good working tranny and then yarding it out. In my opinion there are only two financially justifiable options for 6-speed swapping.
1) Buy-in is low. Ie finding a car with an already blown tranny, like the 4.2 that I recently picked up for $1500. At a price like this I could justify the swap, because in reality I could have a 6 speed 4.2 with maintenance history in good shape for less than 5 grand, if I spent my money wisely.
2) You've already bought the car and the trans has crapped the bed on you. At this stage, a six speed swap could cost as little as a thousand bucks over the price of rebuilding the auto, so why not?
For what it's worth, this sort of logical thinking is why I sold my blue allroad. If I did the 6 speed swap with a clutch that would hold stage3 power, I would have easily have had a 14-15 thousand dollar K03 allroad. The problem for me, was that the trans was fine so neither option 1 nor option 2 were justifiable.

I made a decent offer minus the wheels. 20 inch wheels is crump to me

Not counting my time, my swap made me money...I located an intact parts car with a few service issues (i.e. control arms, O2 sensors, etc) and pulled the relevant 01E parts to use on my '02 S6 avant. After selling off my failed 5HP24 and parting out the rest of the A6 2.7t, I netted about $500 and I still have perhaps another $500 worth of parts to sell.
HOWEVER...I don't recommend this route if you don't have time to do the swap and part-out yourself. You'll also need somewhere to store the parts you pull, and the marketing effort to unload the parts is constant.
