Quick question, Can a completely broken and driained power steering container cause an engine to hesitate horribly.?

Yes. The fluid is a lubricant for the pump, if there is no lubricant the pump will start to seize.

yea i know the pump will start to seize but how will that effect the car engine's idle and drive.

Seized pump = very hard to turn which could affect the smoothness of the idle

Yes.

Don't forget that the crank has to turn the pump. If you have ever driven a car with a bad pump when you turn the wheel at idle it will cause the car to stumble greatly and in some cases it can cause the car to stall.

okay that bosted my confidence a whole lot more... now im just going to sell this car for repair
