Wouldn't that replace the cat???

lets say i cut the the resonator which looks like a muffler coming from the downpipe and throw a straight piece of piping would that cause any back pressure issues??

The test pipe replaces the cat, and cutting out the res. causes no problems I know of. I removed my stock one and now run a small bottle style res.

Ohh ok so it replaces that cat and has holes for the 02 sensor to go into so no cel, and its a bolt on with no problems?? and you threw kind of like a glasspack on their im considering?

A test pipe replaces the cat. It has holes for the O2 sensors but you will need an O2 sensor spacer for the second sensor in order to prevent a CEL.

You can cut out the resonator and weld in a piece of straight pipe. It will not cause any issues, it'll just make it a little louder.

I am not aware of your budget in mind, but it sounds like you are interested in doign some performance modifications to your A4. I can reference you to our performance section for your chassis vehicle so you can browse through and look at items that may be of interest. This is what you need. I'm running it and I have no CEL. 42Draft Designs make them. Best $40 bucks spent on my exhaust [:D]

I have the same one myself. Great product. Definitely worth the money [up]
Only pic I have, but you can see it at the end of the downpipe.

Yes, less back pressure helps the turbo spool quicker.

i was thinking that because my flex pipe from the down broke in half so basically after the cat it was nothing and the turbo sounded real nice and that hauled ass, think for the info!

I recently made a custom 3" stainless turbo back with a Flowmaster resonator (15147S) and a Vibrant (1149) muffler. Sounds awesome outside and has no interior resonance at highway speeds...something I was trying to achieve. I really enjoy it.

Actually had the APR stage 2 flashed last week and the tech said that it was the best sounding A4 he's heard....take it as you will.
