Just passing on the message from Hollywood.

Carl- Get a group together. If you can get 8 cars together we will do $65.00 per car (usually its $75.00) for 3 base line pulls. Saturdays are best. FWD, RWD, AWD are all welcome.

Edit: Dyno Day is SATURDAY, JUNE 22nd. Anyone who is interested needs call Hollywood and reserve a spot

I went to the last Dyno day on Feb. 23 and Gabe's set up is real nice. Plus there are always BT project cars in the shop to drool over.

are you saying a hot garage from all the cars running does not fit as a vacation trip

I emailed Hollywood to see if June 15th work for her and Gabe. I would assume just like last time a deposit of $45 would be required.

I hope we can get eight cars, and get a couple S and RS cars like 100daily, Monoseanism, HighAltitudeRS4,

There's a few turbo'd mkiv R's. Bluewater has cranked out a bunch. Was blue or red?

If people want to call me directly to give me a card number to have on file, basically to hold their spots, you can give me a ring at the shop at 303.800.7193. Or feel free to send me a text at 720.935.6464.
We will start at 10am. Maybe if people are interested we could do a BBQ as well?? Just throwing it out there. Everyone chime in and let me know your thoughts. [:)]

I don't trust Carz dyno, they inflate the numbers, and add a correction factor for forced induction cars. I'm sure Hollywood could chime in on why there dyno is more accurate.

Possibly so, but since I have two previous dynos done there, I would get more info from continuing to dyno there. Wether or not the numbers themselves are completely accurate, the gain from my dynos is proven. Dynoing at a new place would prove nothing for me.

Once I feel my car is "done", maybe ill get some final dynos from a couple different sources to compare. But no point while still proving mods.

Very true. Most places inflate their numbers. Bigger numbers=happy customers.

But to be honest. Dynoing seems ridiculous. I used to want to do it at every stage. But now I'm like ok stock to stage 1, that is some good power increase, but I don't need a dyno to measure it, whoever I bought the tune from already has numbers on it. Do. A generic awhp drivetrain loss test and you're at your horsepower within 10% accuracy which is probably as good as a real dyno. Stage1-2+ it's so marginal but my buttdyno registered it, and if I feel faster then I must have gained a few more horses. But realistically up to stage 2+ you haven't done anything so incredible that you've doubled your horsepower, it's marginal power to the wheels, you can feel it but it's nothing crazy.

Stage 3 and up yeah maybe you will want a dyno readout to figure out what hp you're at so you know you're engines limits and know you are operating within them and won't blow anything up, or perhaps just to get dyno tuned.

Maybe it's me just being cranky But I feel like paying for someone to hook up my car to a dyno to give me a guesstimate of what power I am putting down on a stock engine with a few Bolt on modifications just doesn't make sense. I'd rather save the money and put it towards more car parts to make me feel fast.

Martin, Eat a Snickers! You turn into a grumpy old man that hates everyone when your hungry lol.

I do tend to agree with you for sure. I like dyno's only cause its a nice cheap legal way to see how your car is running without having to worry about getting pulled over for doing logs on the road.

I would be in to make it a BBQ as well.... [:D]

I have two options as of now-

#1- If we can get 7-8 cars to RSVP for the dyno day we would love to make it an all Audi Day
OR
#2- If we can not get 7-8 Audis, I will open the spots up to VW as well....

Thoughts??
