Canadian 2000 A4 (atw) quattro.

Instrument cluster block reading (no comms to immobilizer module, doesn't exist)
Component B5-KOMBIINSTR. VDO D11

Coding 02344 (Canadian A4 basically)
Shop# WSC 00000

Nothing in Extra fields. (no VIN or Immobilizer numbers)

The key does have a "W" with no line through it. Two dealers say yes has immobilizer.

Everything I read says no. Ross-Tech included. I have read / searched and I know the US model definitely doesn't , but this is a Canadian car.

Thoughts?

The key may be imobilizor capable but the car may not be set up for it. as far as I know, no NA b5 has one.

i am positive no american b5 has an immobilizer, pretty damn sure no north american b5 has an immobilizer, and pretty sure europe b5's started getting mobilizers around 2000 or such. so no, your car doesnt have one unless its a euro-spec model, which it isnt

Ok this is what I thought as well. According to the ross-tech site I should see some sort of immobilizer key / serial which there is none. Thanks again
