Is there a DIY to install these on a b7

open up headlight from the little side door
find someone with small hands
reach in, unplug exisiting city light
remove bulb from socket
plug new led light into socket.
twist socket back into headlight
close door, sealing the headlight back up

news on lpfp?

When the pump is released I will be sure to either post up a thread or someone from our company will.

There currently is no "news" on the kit other than it is under development and testing phase.

My order is on it's way!!! I"m excited to see how good they look in person. Now all we need is a LED kit for the DRL and we'll be all set. Any chances of a product for the DRL?

I just bought a set. I'm hoping they're white not bluish. And I hope they light the housing well enough. Plus lets hope that resistor doesn't get too hot.

I'm considering getting these but I have a ?

My OEM city light bulb on the drivers side burn a little of the plastic that holds the bulb and fogged up the inside of the housing so i removed them. If i want to install these will they continue to burn is there anything i can do to prevent it?

these should prevent that because the LED does not heat up as much as an incandescent bulb

Maybe we should raise our prices... lol I kid I kid.

Phil, is there any type of warranty on the life of the bulbs if they wrote to go out?

Easy exchange

There is, its a 1 year from the date of purchase. The exchange is very simple. If they happen to go out, just drop us an email with your order number and let us know which bulb it is. Once its confirmed (typically within in 24 hours) we send you a new replacement out.

Thanks,

Follow Up:

I got my order really fast. Thanks USP. Overall first impressions; well put together product, good value. As advertised, no bulb out warning and bright output. [up]

Here are some photos. Please excuse the dirty bug ridden car.

USP LED on the left. No-Name LED in Ziza Harness on right. The USP LED is much brighter and more white in light color.

No-Name LED (360 degree light firing). Not as blue as the photo makes it, but still too much blue in person for my taste.

USP LED (forward firing). Not nearly as blue as the photo shows. More a true white color in person. Very bright.

I was hoping for more of a broad spectrum light array to fill the housing. But that's really getting fussy. This is a well put together product and I'd recommend it to other users. [up]

Also, one other thing to note: The resistor does get hot. (After being on for 20 minutes I can hold it in my fingers for 5-6 seconds before it feels too hot to hold.) It's probably a good idea to make sure the resistor sits away from other wires and important plastic pieces in the housing.

I went to order and saw the cheapest shipping option was still $7.12

You can't just put these things in a yellow envelope? When I shipped a window regulator back to a company I only paid 8.50$
