Time to introduce myself rather than just being NewDays, I've been an Audi fan since the beginning. My dad has been an Audi mechanic for well over 30 years and started my love for the cars. I've been going to Le Mans races sine I can remember and always wanted to start my own project. My grandparents are straight out of Germany and all my immediate and not so immediate family drive audis/volkswagen, and that is how it has always been. I first rode in my car back in 2005 or 2006 in Salt Lake City with my father and his co-worker in a trip when his co-worker owned it. Finally in 2012 he wanted to sell his avant and the first person to say I need that car was me. The very next day I owned the 2000 Audi A4 Avant 1.8TQM for 4,200 dollars and sold my MKV Jetta not even a week later to pay my father back. Since that day I always loved the turbocharged power and threw my 2.sl0w jetta days in the past. I joined audizine a few days afterwards and never looked back since. Here is a photo from the first few days. http://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/s578/newdaysend/IMG_01491_zps251b2c73.jpg
The first thing I could do with my dad's permission was got for stage 1, such a big jump for me being in high school. So I went to the local drag strip "Bandimere Speedway" and wasn't impressed but met a local there and guess what, he sold me this, http://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/s578/newdaysend/IMG_02322_zps0781c34c.jpg
I was hooked to say the least and all I could think about was big turbo A4's and just wanted more power "don't we all"
http://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/s578/newdaysend/IMG_02401_zps90f5a0fe.jpg
http://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/s578/newdaysend/IMG_02501_zpsa4e7175b.jpg
http://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/s578/newdaysend/IMG_03771_zpse4452dfd.jpg
So I took a few more pictures of the avant as time goes on

http://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/s578/newdaysend/IMG_05151_zpsbd88820f.jpg
So I finally started learning from reading forums and talking to veterans from audizine on what my ultimate goal would be and here is what I bought next,
http://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/s578/newdaysend/IMG_06181_zpsa87a42bf.jpg
Everything basically I had thus far
http://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/s578/newdaysend/IMG_06581_zpscd79d19f.jpg
Then came my first knowledge of wideband, and I had to buy this wince I was ATW, what a great coincidence
http://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/s578/newdaysend/IMG_07601_zpsbc0c4842.jpg
Finally black Friday came and I bought my favorite piece to annoy my mom
http://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/s578/newdaysend/IMG_07731_zpsfc5f3df5.jpg
But then tragedy struck, as happy I looked in pictures I didn't know the severity of the incident and played it off, set me a few thousand
back and about 3 or 4 months at that too, never will I have full motion of my index finger back:(

Seerlah as many you may know set this project up to keep our fog lights and bumper, thanks Mitch!

Then came another set back, the fake lm's ;p
http://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/s578/newdaysend/IMG_07921_zpsd5073793.jpg
Thanks Auston Werner!
But, this is how the days go in the present, another one of Colorado's snow storm's
http://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/s578/newdaysend/IMG_08291_zpsf5dca05a.jpg
I am meeting tomorrow with 3zero3 motorsports to speak of my future with my B5 to finish my project and see how the summer goes, Thanks for reading!

I'm pointing at my face sine it is so beautiful:)
But as everybody says "damn that must have hurt" it didn't hurt until have the surgery when my doc gave me the bill, that is when it sank in. I repeat don't ever play dodgeball, as many say it is a dangerous game even when playing with your girlfreind haha

And get this, I was probably trying to catch the ball right. Nope, I was throwing the ball that had fabric on it so you could stick your finger in it and get an awesome curveball going, well the last time I tried that my finger never came out of that hole and spiral fractured and dislocated my finger. Just wish I had some sweet videos of it but lost my job and took a semester off of school, but I'm finally back.

Those are one of my most favorite stock Audi wheels. Not very common to see those. There's 1 guy with an A6 out my way that has them. Pretty cool. I really like those BBS reps, too.

Funny that it is not very common to see those wheels on B5s because there are 4 B5s in my family and 3 of them have the A6 wheels on them, once I get my reps put on when winter is over I'm passing them down to my dad, but if you can get them I think they are the best look Audi wheels you can put on a B5 in the 17 inch range.

Ah so you are the guy that picked up that APR setup. It was on CL for a good deal not long ago.

Apr stage 3+!

Nice!!

The only actual part of this that is any bit APR is the exhaust manifold I think, but damn is it a nice manifold!

Edit: Actually what turbo does apr use on their stage 3+ kit for the B5? I've always wondered how much of my stuff was from APR since I've only had bad experiences with them so far, and didn't get a lot of info when I bought this kit from a local.

Well kind of, that was actually me selling it after having second thoughts about the set up and was only wanting to go with an elimator I found for cheap. Nobody ever even called me at the price I had it up for and I found the raceline wiring wideband solution and that solved all my problems so now I'm sticking with this set up. I bought it second hand off a guy at bandimere one day who is on audizine named STS9King. Is your engine up and running yet?

Yeah running like a champ now. I need to get a full exhaust and my FMIC done though. That and a whole bunch of little stuff.

Did you get the treadstone intercooler Mitch set up? And do you know what exhaust your going with yet? I just hope my 034 3 inch sounds nice without being way too loud. 3zero3 is fabbing up my intercooler piping here in about a month so[:D]

oil return line, the u pipe, obviously the manifold and I believe the turbo is a gt2871 with the same housing that APR sells theirs in.

Let me know about that IC piping. I need to get that done too. I plan on either getting a custum system or a 034 full system. I def will be using an 034 downpipe just because I like having the ability to change to a different downpipe solution should I change my turbo. I would just go with the 2 muffler version.

Yea now that I have that picture the turbo is definitely the same along with the oil return line and manifold, but I believe that is about it, the intake set up I am ditching and going with my own since I don't have the one APR made for this kit.

Yea once it all gets fabbed up I can send you some pictures or meet up with you to get a better idea, I wish I would have went with the dual muffler that 034 has but money is tight and I want to get this done sooner than later. The downpipe I already have and I'm pretty sure none of the ones 034 carries would fit my set up anyhow but man the exhaust looks great sitting under my bed[;)]

Been researching a lot and have only gotten confused from most of it. I'm looking at rods right now for my ATW, I'll do pistons and all that later but have been trying to figure out which ones to get for my engine code. From what I have read I have an AEB block, but have seen many credible people say I would have 19mm and some say 20mm wrist pins. I can't get a definate yes on either one of them and I want to order my rods of integrated here in the next week or 2. If I need 19mm wrist pin rods for those be able to support 350ishwhp which is my main goal since I know the 20mm ones definitely would. I just want someone to chime in who has experience with the atw or at least knows what they are talking about for some advice. I already have almost everything to start my build and am just waiting to get rods to actually start the whole process finally
